French as a foreign language - Intensive courses - A1 to C1

From 23 £ /h

This course is intended for people wishing to progress in French in a short period of time!

After several months of online teaching, I had the chance to accompany several students in their preparations for exams, job interviews, etc., and this with success. Systematically, these preparations were made over one or two months: which is shorter than an ordinary apprenticeship, over a year for example.

Thus, I wish to diversify my offer and offer you these intensive courses. Together we will establish a well-defined program according to your objective, your requirements but above all your level. This program adapts from level A1 to level B1. We can work on the 4 skills of FLE: written and oral comprehension, written and oral expression, or access work on one of them according to your needs. Of course, the grammatical, lexical, phonetic aspects (pronunciation) will be worked on, in an effective but fun way thanks to my various teaching aids (PDF, texts, images, videos, etc.). The ideal for this program is to be available 3 times a week.
Currently trainer in 2 structures, I am not available every day.

Whether it is to prepare for an interview, an exam, support you in your learning, I will be happy to accompany you.

So do not hesitate to contact me for more information!

See you soon !

About Me

Hello everyone,

Let me introduce myself, my name is Héloïse, I am 27 years old and currently live in Charente in France.
It was after a superb experience in Serbia as a voluntary trainer of French as a Foreign Language that my career in the field of andragogy began. For several years now I have been teaching French to various audiences face-to-face or remotely, in France or abroad.

From a young age, I learned to adapt thanks to the many moves we made within a family environment. These life experiences in France, Guadeloupe, and elsewhere were all marked by different encounters and musical atmospheres!
Meeting, sharing, and exchanging are values that now accompany me in my professional and, above all, personal journey. I am curious, I love learning and discovering. It will be with pleasure and enthusiasm that we can discuss this together, in French of course!

I'm also learning a new language, so I'm a trainer but also a learner, and I know how difficult it can be to progress and stay motivated. So let's stay motivated, don't hesitate and send me a message.

Hope to meet you

Experience / Qualifications

Hello everyone, Hello everyone,

Let me introduce myself in French (and in English), my name is Héloïse, I am 27 years old and currently live in France.
After 6 years as a French as a Foreign Language trainer in France (in 3 associations as an employee), abroad (in Serbia) and online, I offer to accompany you in your learning!

I am trained in teaching French as a foreign language to children, following informal and non-formal methods based on alternative pedagogies, Montessori type.
I have successfully accompanied children, adolescents and adults during their preparation for the exam (DELF / DALF / TCF).
For a few years now I have specialized in adult education. I am a graduate in this field and have been accompanying people for 3 years in their journey in France or abroad.

The learner's place is very important in my teaching, so I adapt my lessons to the learner, their abilities, their desires, the type of learning they prefer, etc. Learning difficulties? Don't panic, I have experience in supporting learners with specific language and learning disorders (DYS disorders), and am trained in monitoring people with illiteracy.

This year, I obtained a certificate in educational psychology, so I am now an educational psychologist and able to support you in your learning strategies.

I am quite curious by nature and particularly like meeting new people, traveling, discovering new flavors, new rhythms. So you understand why I chose this job! Nothing very surprising.

It is therefore with great interest that I await your messages, and hope to meet you by accompanying you in the achievement of your objectives.

I too am learning a new language, so I am a teacher and also a learner. I know the difficulties, the lack of motivation or enthusiasm that one can sometimes have.

Don't worry, I will be able to put some balm in your heart, and stir up the laziness of learning!

Don't hesitate any longer, send me a message and we will build your next success together: speaking, writing, and understanding French!

See you soon !

French as a Foreign Language - Levels A1 to C1 - French language and culture.

21 £ /h

French / English

After a year of volunteering in Serbia as a teacher of French as a Foreign Language, I wish to use my experience for anyone who wants to learn French, improve or have a particular objective (an examination, pronunciation, writing, grammar etc).
I offer you individualized courses; after a small interview we will evaluate your needs, and choose what we put in place.
I work in different ways, according to everyone's needs. I avoid as much as possible the theoretical courses in order to make the lessons fun, relying on authentic documents, singular exercises etc.
I have prepared several students for the DELF and DALF exams, from A1 to C1, all have obtained, so if you need, do not hesitate!

Because of the current situation (Covid-19), I decided to put my lessons at the minimum possible price in order to offer the possibility to the greatest number of people to be able to embark on learning French. So for those who were hesitant to get started, or those looking for a new activity, now is the time!

After one year in Serbia, i have decided to teach online. I'm ready to work with every single person who wants to learn French, to perfect or to work on something specific (exam, pronounciation, oral, grammar etc).
So, we offer you individualized classes: after a short conversation we will define what we will work on, and your needs and your level.
I use to teach french without long and boring classes; i love when students are active. in this way, i'm traying to work with different documents, equipments etc.
I already have prepared several students for DELF and DALF, from A1 level till C1 level and everyone get it, so feel free to contact me if you need!

Because of the current situation (Covid-19), I have decided to give the minimum price for my class to offer the possibility, for everyone who can, to try learning French. So for everyone who was hesitating or who is looking for a new activity, let's jump in french learning that's the moment!

Hi everyone,

I'm Mathieu, 40 years old, from Paris, France. I'm a full-time professional french teacher. I lived in Shanghai for more than 5 years where I used to teach in french companies and language institutes.
Now, I mainly teach private classes as a freelance, one-to-one. I have a 12-year of teaching experience in China and France, face-to-face and online through Skype or other similar tools. I'm also a teacher in a business school here in Paris. You can check the comments that a few students of mine left here on my profile, to see that I'm a serious and competent teacher.

I'm fluent in English and speak intermediate Chinese Mandarin.

I have all the materials necessary ready for you, self-made PDF, audio files and much more. I always adapt my classes to the student's needs. We can focus on what's most important to you.

Contact me for any further information, I'm ready to discuss your goals and my teaching method with you so that you can make up your mind.

French teacher for foreigners and native French speaker, with a Master's degree in French as a Foreign Language and 21 years of experience teaching in private schools (Montpellier, Lyon, Minneapolis, Salvador da Bahia, Lisbon, Berlin, Barcelona, Brussels). I offer private lessons in: grammar, syntax, vocabulary, speaking and writing, phonetics, conversation, current events, DELF and DALF exam preparation, etc. I can also provide knowledge of Francophone literature, the humanities, theater, and other arts. Speaking English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese also allows me to better understand students' difficulties.

My courses are based on listening to learners' needs, using effective teaching methods, and employing a dynamic approach and immersion in the French language! Of course, learners are expected to do some independent work, without using AI or any other application, in order to learn more effectively, practice, and exercise their own brainpower! And there's no age limit to learning!
Take the step and learn or improve your French enthusiastically with me!

For the past two decades, I've had the privilege of tutoring in both French and English. My students have ranged in age, background, and origin, spanning children, teenagers, adults, professionals, and even seniors aged 85 and above.

You might wonder why I teach both languages. Well, I am bilingual, with American and Swiss/French roots, and I currently reside in Ireland. This unique blend of experiences equips me with a strong and relevant teaching approach. I possess an intimate understanding of both cultures, enabling me to tailor my classes to the specific needs of my students.

My teaching journey began during my time studying social work in French-speaking Switzerland. I started offering private French and English lessons to supplement my income, and I quickly discovered my passion for it. Even after graduating and embarking on a full-time career, I couldn't bear to give up this rewarding activity. I cherished the opportunity to connect with diverse individuals and assist them in achieving their language goals.

In my teaching methodology, interactivity takes center stage. I employ a variety of engaging learning tools, including photos, newspaper articles, music, videos, and more. My approach is highly adaptable, with a focus on addressing each student's unique priorities. Some seek to refine their pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary, while others require assistance with presentations or speeches for school or work. Some simply aspire to acquire a new language to enrich their general knowledge. I also specialize in teaching younger children, a testament to my educational background and experience.

What you will gain from my courses extends beyond impeccable pronunciation and enhanced vocabulary and grammar. You'll also acquire a profound understanding of the culture associated with each language. When speaking a language, it's essential to appreciate the lifestyle, traditions, and heritage of the nations where it thrives. French and English are spoken as primary languages in numerous countries worldwide, each with its own unique accent and cultural nuances. The learning process is limitless!

In addition to my language instruction, I'm a genealogist and host spiritual (non-religious) seminars in the beautiful West of Ireland. My passion for vegetarian and vegan cuisine adds a flavorful dimension to my life. Furthermore, I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education and have operated a private "Before & Afterschool" facility along with Summer Camps catering to children aged 4 to 12 for many years.

I am genuinely excited about the prospect of meeting and working with you!

Do you have a statistics or probability exam in BA1/BA2? I can help you review the material in a clear, structured and exam-oriented way.

I support higher education students (university and college), particularly in their first and second years of undergraduate studies, to understand important concepts, redo practical exercises, and practice with exam-style questions.

My goal is simple: to help you understand the logic behind formulas, know when to use them, recognize correct reasoning in a statement, and gain autonomy when facing exercises.

Subjects covered according to your program:

• Descriptive statistics:
mean, median, variance, standard deviation, quartiles, quantiles, coefficient of variation, box plots, histograms, graphs, interpretation of tables and data.

• Univariate and bivariate statistics:
analysis of one variable, analysis of two variables, scatter plots, covariance, correlation, regression line, coefficient of determination, interpretation of relationships between variables.

• Probabilities:
events, union, intersection, complement, conditional probabilities, independence, Bayes' theorem, probability trees, contingency tables.

• Combinatorial probabilities:
permutations, arrangements, combinations, draws with or without replacement, counting, classic exam situations.

• Random variables:
discrete and continuous variables, probability function, density function, distribution function, expectation, variance, standard deviation, variable transformation.

• Probability laws:
Bernoulli distribution, binomial distribution, normal distribution, standard normal distribution, Student's t-distribution, chi-square distribution, use of statistical tables according to your course.

• Statistical inference:
sampling, estimators, point estimation, confidence intervals, margin of error, degrees of freedom, confidence level.

• Hypothesis testing:
null hypothesis H0, alternative hypothesis H1, significance threshold, p-value, one-tailed or two-tailed test, test on a mean, test on a proportion, chi-square test, interpretation of results.

• Exam preparation:
reading statements, choosing the right method, identifying the formulas to use, typical exercises, past exams, guided corrections and problem-solving methods.

Method of working :

1. We quickly identify the chapters that are causing problems;
2. I re-explain the theory with simple examples;
3. We redo the important exercises together;
4. I will show you how to recognize good reasoning in the exam;
5. We construct a clear method that can be reused independently.

I don't just provide a correction: I explain the reasoning step by step so that you are able to redo the exercises without help.

For students retaking the exam, I also offer more intensive support: level assessment, priority identification, review of fundamentals, and practice with typical exercises and past exams. The goal is to get straight to the point and work efficiently within the time available before the exam.

I have been giving private lessons for over 7 years in mathematics, statistics, economics, and accounting. I have also tutored first and second-year Bachelor's students at Solvay/ULB in mathematics, statistics, and microeconomics as part of a university tutoring program.

My professional experience in finance and business controlling at Deloitte has also allowed me to develop a very structured approach to numbers, analysis and problem-solving.
