I’m Muhammad, a highly motivated and dedicated professional with a diverse academic background in civil engineering and sustainable engineering systems. Throughout my academic journey, I’ve developed strong problem-solving skills, particularly in areas like project management, sustainable energy systems, and life cycle analysis. My passion for sustainability is reflected in my recent MSc research, where I explored innovative solutions to reduce environmental impact in the construction industry.
I have a natural ability to connect with people from different backgrounds, which I’ve honed through various roles in academia and industry, including teaching and site management. I’m also adaptable, driven by curiosity, and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team. I have a strong academic background, beginning with my MSc in Sustainable Engineering Systems from Teesside University, where I achieved a distinction. My studies focused on sustainability, energy efficiency, and digital technologies, and I completed a research project analysing the life cycle of residential housing in Pakistan using a BIM-LCA approach.
Prior to this, I earned an MSc in Urban Infrastructure Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, where I excelled in subjects like water supply systems and sustainable urban planning. My undergraduate degree is in Civil Engineering, also from UET Peshawar, where I specialised in traffic flow and infrastructure systems. These degrees have provided me with a diverse understanding of engineering and sustainability, underpinned by practical, research-based projects.
