I specialise in tutoring English to those whose English is not their first language. I have experience in teaching both adults and children, both in Brazil and China. I have taught Business English, English for travel, 'everyday English', English for children (storytelling, games and music for younger learners: 4-6 year olds), English for Cambridge exams, and general English. I've taught for two years in China to corporate clients and later to primary and middle school students.

I am currently teaching online lessons, preparing students for IELTS.

English classes will be delivered to suit student's level and demand. You'll learn a variety of vocabulary and grammar within a context, focused on speaking, listening, grammar and reading. Lessons will be interesting and students will be challenged.

After each class, I will give you feedback of the whole lesson and will also assign you some homework to practice what we have studied.

About Me

I love teaching English and learning. I enjoy travelling, music, hiking, swimming, cycling, going to the cinema, and experiencing new cultures. I'm constantly studying.
I have lived in Britain, Brazil, China and Australia.

Education

I have a Science background up to post-graduate level, and am now preparing for a PGCE (Post-Graduate Certificate in Education), which is something I would like to pursue as a career.

I also have a CELTA certificate (Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) .

Experience / Qualifications

I have good experience in teaching both adults and children (3 and a half years), and up until recently I was teaching ESL to primary school pupils and Science to middle school pupils in China.

My experience in teaching English has varied from teaching general to business English, either using different methods or tailored-made classes. My students age range has varied from 7 to 65+, and they have been from all sorts of background and different levels of English. When the pandemic started I dedicated solely to teaching online.
