About Me

Upon gaining a degree in Business Management from London School of Economics in 2012, I embarked on a full-time career in teaching.
I thoroughly enjoy teaching children and feel that there is nothing more satisfying than passing on knowledge to young, impressionable minds and helping them on their journey to becoming educated and empowered individuals.
Right from the beginning of the year 2020 there was a need to quickly change and adapt to the new teaching tools.
I completed my CELTA online which I started in person due to the continuous changing circumstances.
After completing this I was fully ready to take online tutoring head on. It did not only equip me to use the multiple apps and resources for online teaching but also gave me a hands on, 15 hours of experience of teaching students online.
From March 2021 to date I have conducted 355 hours of online teaching to years 1-5 and 180 hours of online teaching to adults.

My methodology: Learning to structure one's thoughts to express oneself better
My approach is based on a simple observation: success is not achieved through lack of effort, but often through a lack of method and confidence. My role is to transform subjects sometimes perceived as abstract (Philosophy, French) or intimidating (English) into concrete tools for success.

The typical course of a session:
1. Quick diagnosis: We start by identifying the areas of uncertainty from the previous lesson or the difficulties with a specific exercise.
2. Taking action: No boring lectures! We work on concrete exercises, essay plans or oral practice (in English) to "learn by doing".
3. The "Montreal Method": Having worked for two and a half years in Quebec, I use a North American pedagogy that is very focused on encouragement, clear structure and student autonomy.
4. Summary & Objectives: We end each session with a recap of the key points so that the student knows exactly what to revise.
