About Me
Nice to meet you, busy bee!
My name is Sharon. Born and raised in busy West Flanders, my passion for animals and nature brought me back several years to the picturesque village of Erdősmecske in the south of Hungary. Here I have the luxury to exercise my great passion every day: informing people about animals.
I do this through my sanctuary, where we give dumped and neglected exotic animals a new home. More than 100 students join us annually in our daily activities and this gives me the opportunity to educate them about zoology and prepare them for life as a zookeeper.
During the Covid madness, I decided to put together some courses that go deeper into matters that you would otherwise not see during a training as an animal caretaker, paraveterinary, etc. I hope this will give people who want to work in this sector a boost. and to increase general knowledge in the workplace.
Because of my education as a Bachelor agro- and biotechnology, animal caretaker, animal trainer and thanks to my extensive experience in the animal sector, I am sure that I can help every animal fanatic here!
Although I often have to bite off here among the animals, I keep all my beloved students whole! so don't hesitate to ask questions about me, my work and the courses.
Hopefully we will get to know each other soon!

More and more people want to work with animals, which is not surprising. It is a challenging and very fun job. There are also more and more possibilities to take such directions, but unfortunately animal care studies remain very basic. It is not possible to bring everything forward during a limited number of contact hours. And that while there is so much to learn within the world of zoology, or zoology.
This course is designed for people who want to know more during or after a study, or students who want to prepare well for a challenging study in biology. For those who have become curious why animals have scientific names, or why birds are actually reptiles.
Prior knowledge is not required, we start at the beginning!
