Jazz and Latin jazz are wonderfull styles of music that requires skill and knowledge. That is what you will learn in this lesson. You will learn the basics of Jazz from the harmony to the rythms while also learning simple ways/methods to understand them. On the latin side you will learn how to combine jaz with the intricate rythms of south amreica and the caribbean. Such as salsa, cumbia, merengue, calypso and many more styles that you want to learn.

As a drums and classical percussion educator I have more than 10 years of experience. Graduated with honors from State University Of New York, Fredonia, Mason School of Music in 2013 and earned my Masters of Music In Drums at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht, Utrechts Conservatorium. I have had the privilege of studying with world renown percussionists and drum set players including Dr. Kay Stonefelt, Shawn Pelton, Eric Shin, and Joost Kesselaar.

As an engaging drum set and percussion instructor, I provide music lessons rooted in humanistic philosophy which allows me to cater each lesson in an individualized manner and develop richer and more meaningful relationships with each student.

Lessons are provided in a rented rehearsal and practice room space, Students can expect to acquire the necessary technique, musicality and abilities to engage in any musical setting such as rock and pop bands, jazz combos, classical ensembles, experimental or avant-guard music making, marching band music and drumline instruction.

I am a professional pianist, with a lot of experience (10 years) of working with kids and adults who want to learn piano in a friendly and patient way.
I am graduated from the Conservatory of Music of Mexico and I have master in piano at HKU Utrecht Conservatorium.

I graduated from the Conservatory in Arnhem (ArtEZ) in 2013. Since then I have been working as an actor, singer and pianist (mostly theater). In addition to playing always been active as a teacher. Many group lessons but also individual lessons. Currently active as a keyboard player for the Aunt Joke Karaoke Band.
Because I master many different disciplines, we can make the lessons as personal as you want. Do you enjoy learning to guide yourself while singing? Do you want to write a song? Do you want to know if you are singing healthy? Do you want more technique in your piano playing? Do you want to learn more about music theory? Or just sing songs that you like? As a graduate classical pianist and also experienced Jazz musician (currently studying Jazz/Pop Piano in HKU), I can help you work your way around a variety of genres and repertoire in order to achieve your personal goals and express yourself through the art of playing the piano.
I can also help singers that want to accompany themselves the most convenient way and also people that would like to use the piano as a tool to write their own music. I use both my own material of sheets and notes that I create specifically for each student, but also several books and a variety of methods. Some basic music theory is usually integrated to the piano lessons I give, in order to have a more complete understanding of the practical concepts but it could also be taught separately.

For about 14 years I have studied various aspects of music, I’ve studied piano, vocals and composition, and now I am studying piano in the jazz and pop course. Not only have I played lots of jazz and pop, I have played lots of classical, neo-soul and gospel, to me it’s important to be well versed in lots of genre’s. How amazing is it to play the music that lives in your head?
Piano is by no means difficult, it make’s for a great hobby and is a wonderful stress reliever.
My class is open for people of all skill levels and is held in English or Korean.

Essential parts of my lessons are:

-Tailor-made lessons to suit your skill level and needs.
*For beginners we’ll go through basic piano skills, basic music theory and reading sheet music.
*If you're an intermediate, you'll be given a class that suits your level, needs and wishes.
(ex. How to improvise, how to accompaniment, how to arrange, etc.)
