My lessons are taught in German but I am proficient in English, French, and Italian. I have studied Japanese (N4) and I am currently learning Korean because of my in-laws.
Don't just think of me as your next German teacher but as your cheerleader. I know learning a language can be tough. That's when I'm there to remind you how brilliant you are, why you're learning, and to adjust your curriculum so the journey feels fun and not dreadful. It only takes consistency, even when we feel like we're going nowhere.

About Me
I teach German because language opens doors to people. Through language we share who we are: our feelings, our passions, the texture of our thinking. What's the point of learning a language if not to speak it? That's why my classes prioritise conversation above all else. Grammar matters for accuracy, but it's never the end in itself.
I started teaching German to refugees as a university volunteer, then took on substitute positions before teaching English to monks in India and German in Iran. Eventually I got into my trained profession as an art historian, working in communications and fine art sales for international galleries. But after seven years in the contemporary art world, burnout set in. The work had lost its meaning.
So I made a choice: I became a certified German as a Foreign Language teacher and certified telc examiner committed to teaching. Over 3,000 hours later, I've worked with students at every level, from absolute beginners to those refining their C2. Teaching immerses me into German in a way that feeds my own creative writing practice—as an internationally recognised art critic as well as a writer.
