Mathematics made easy, through tutoring sessions for grades 5 to 12.

Mathematics can seem difficult and overwhelming, but I believe that with enough and consistent practise, it can very easily move from being stressful and annoying to being exciting! Well, that was my experience, which happened with a bit of assistance from a supportive mathematics teacher to whom I will forever be grateful.
I moved from being an average student in grades 8 to 9, to being a top mathematics learner in grades 10 to 12, and furthermore continued to be a top achiever in mathematics during my two undergraduate Metallurgical Engineering qualifications obtained from the University of Johannesburg and the University of Pretoria. All this would not have been possible had it not been for the encouragement I got from my grade 10 Mathematics teacher, which gave birth to my love for the subject. Alongside my love for the subject is my passion for helping people - That stuff excites me! and I am definitely ready to help you. So, let's give this tutoring thing a shot. My teaching method is such that I will teach you basic mathematics principles that will hep you solve ANY mathematics problem you come across, with my ultimate goal being for you to get to a point where you DON'T NEED ME to solve mathematical problems - that to me, that's what marks success.

About Me
I am a Metallurgical Engineer by profession, but a helper at heart - nothing melts my heart like the words "thank you" coming from a place of gratitude for something I assisted with. That is also the reason why I am so patient when teaching (I owe much of my patience to the two 10 year old girls I am raising honestly!), and do not give up until I see that my students understand the concepts I teach.
While working as a Mathematics tutor to grade 10, 11 and 12 learners during my undergraduate studies, the only rule I had and still have for my students is that they should be willing to learn, and also accept that they will make mistakes along the way, but refuse to let those mistakes to define them - honor those rules, and we will be buddies!
I am a bubbly, extroverted introvert (hope that makes sense :)) who enjoys being in her own space, but also enjoys being around people who radiate positive energy. I love laughing and joking around, and I am open minded to a lot of things - including, but not limited to, religion, spirituality, sexuality, values and beliefs in general. Throughout my high school and University journeys, I always enjoyed helping class mates and the students I tutored, and I strongly believe that my open mindedness is the reason that people who needed help were so easily drawn towards me. With that said, I can't wait to meet you!
