Are you serious about learning to play violin?
Do you want to learn how to tackle difficult violin pieces?
Do you want to learn how to practise efficiently?
Do you want to know how to tackle stage nerves and how to plan your time before a performance?
Do you need help with fingerings and bowings for a specific piece?

Online violin lessons are becoming more and more popular as they offer real convenience for a student who either wants to learn with a specific teacher who might be based in another country, or when attending lessons in person is problematic because of the student's schedule.

Dunja , who has 15 years of overall teaching experience, has successfully taught via Skype and Zoom for the past 7 years. Lessons are scheduled based on the most suitable time (whatever the time zone!) for both Dunja and the student.
Extra information
In order to have a successful online lesson, you will need:
- a computer or tablet (required)
- good internet connection (required)
- external microphone and speakers for better quality of sound (this is OPTIONAL)
- beginner lessons available only in person

Dunja's message to future students:

"I have always been greatly fascinated by violin and methods of teaching how to play it, and believe that each student should have their lesson tailor-made for them in order to fulfil their full potential.
I always listen to what my students want first from their lessons and then work out the best and most efficient way to get there.
When I help my students achieve their best results, I combine several teaching techniques/schools of violin playing.
I have an individual approach towards each of my students, depending on their abilities and goals.
I help my students by showing them how to achieve maximum results through appropriate way of practising and time-management, coaching them various performing techniques, helping with audition behavior and stage presence, helping to deal with anxiety, stage fright and much more.
I teach my students independence, organisation and responsibility.

During my lessons you will learn that:

- “It's always "quality over quantity.”
- “I am here to help you reach your goal.”
- “Ultimately, it’s up to you to take responsibility and make progress, using the information I have given you.”
- “Anything I will suggest to you during lessons is what I believe are STEPS towards YOUR goal.”
- “You will need to practise, but for yourself and not for me and not anyone else. You will need to remember the goal you have set for YOURSELVES.”
- “Fear is natural, everyone is afraid of something - it’s what you make of it that matters.”
- “Failure is part of a journey, don’t let it stop you on your tracks. Failure teaches us how to move forwards.”
- “I am here for you."

I am a professional musician and educator, with international experience as a Violin/Viola/
Chamber Music/Theory teacher, soloist, orchestra leader, chamber musician, and jury
member.
I have graduated in Violin at the Conservatory of Music "G.P. da Palestrina" of Cagliari-
Italy and in Viola at the Conservatory of Music "G. Verdi" of Milan-Italy.
My professional activity led me to work in several orchestras as performer, and in various
music schools as upper- string and chamber music teacher.
I lived and worked in Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, and since 2012 I made
London my home, where I developed further teaching experience within the British
system.
I have also founded "The Geminiani Project" of which I am
the director and the leader of the Camerata Geminiani, ensemble that has been invited to
perform in England, Italy, Germany, France, Portugal, Denmark, and Sweden.
At the same time I have established my ensemble, I have also launched the Geminiani
Youth Orchestra (formed by young musicians aged 6 to 17 years old) as I believe in the
importance of giving an opportunity to young players to perform together, and the
amateur ensemble Hampton Chamber Orchestra; we performed with both orchestras at
various venues in London.
Regarding my teaching technique, I believe that each student is different and unique, so
the first thing I try to do is to establish a connection, then I try to understand the major
skills and major difficulties of the student in order to develop a personalised system; I pay
much importance also to the emotional aspect the student is dealing with in order to build
passion and love for music.
I strongly believe that, once achieved a technical skill, the student must have the chance to
play with the teacher and with other students, and feel the excitement of making music
together.
I have experience in preparing students for auditions, competitions, or ABRSM/Trinity
exams with excellent results; I love what I do and I love to see my pupils achieving high
level results.

🎻 A Fresh Perspective on Violin Technique
I had the privilege of studying with world-renowned violinist Zakhar Bron, and at the age of 21, I had to completely rework my violin technique. Together, we’ll build the foundations that will allow you to play freely, rather than feeling restricted by technique.

🌍 Multilingual Lessons
