About Me

My name is Jérémy, I am french and I currently live in Prague for a postdoctoral position. My main interest in mathematics is arithmetic, and more precisely analytic number theory, if it comes to that :)

Education

Math PhD, two masters degrees: one in math education, one in math research. My bachelor and master degree were done at the Ecole Normale Supérieur de Lyon, which is one of France top schools when it comes to studying mathematics.

Experience / Qualifications

I started tutoring in 2014 and never stopped since,with roughly 2 to 3 students a year (on top of the classes I taught at the university).
Also passed the agrégation (which is the most competitive test to become a teacher in France), ranked 47th out of roughly 1400 candidates.

I offer mathematics lessons suitable for all levels and ages, up to baccalaureate level. I offer different types of courses:
- Regular lessons to maintain a constant level of competence.
- "Intense" courses over a period of a few days or weeks, during which we will work for several hours in a row in order to prepare for an exam or a specific project.
- Preparatory courses to help students make the transition to higher education.

My main objective is to help and accompany the student by offering theoretical courses, as well as practical exercises to apply the theory that we have studied together. I place great importance on concrete examples, because theoretical mathematics can seem abstract to many people.

I can also provide support to students who carry out studies or data analyzes as part of their written work.
