I discovered I enjoy teching very much while following a minor in education during my bachelor. Throughout the course I learned pedagogy, didactics and methodology, and worked with students of different ages and levels of experience. I love teaching because it allows me to share my knowledge and challenges me to be more imaginative and flexible. The lessons are tailor-made. This means that the goals are going to be adapted to YOUR wishes taking in account previous experience, expectations and musical taste. My name is Victoria. I give violin lessons in Rotterdam. Picking up a new instrument can sometimes be very difficult, so I will help you in this learning process. My goal is to make people of all ages and levels learn not only playing an instrument but how can music help them in their everyday life. I am an Albanian violinist, with a Bachelor degree in Classical Music (Violin) and Musicologie in Sorbonne University. Over the years, my experiences with different youth and professional orchestras all around Europe have made me understand that music is important not only for professional musicians but also for everyone. I can teach in English or French and of course in my mother tongue Albanian.

I have thirteen years of teaching experience in the Netherlands and in Belgium ( privately and at music schools/muziekacademies). The teaching method is based on maintaining both the motivation and the quality of the violinist's level. Therefore, a wide repertoire is included to address different needs, allowing students to choose concerts or works to practice at their leisure and as part of their progress as an instrumentalist. The etudes are continued as the songs in the repertoire are added. For technical exercises, several etude books are used, including: - Cecilio (for level 0) - The Suzuki Method (as a guiding thread from beginner to advanced) - Kayser Etudes (for the transition to intermediate) - Kreutzer Etudes (for the transition to advanced)

In the individual lessons we discuss possibilities of thinking about sounds and ways of bringing sounds to life in different ways. Violin lessons are in particular a great way of exploring the connectedness of the thought, feelings, and body through learning the instrument as well as reading music. In each lesson, we discuss ways of developing a better understanding of this connection using different methods; the methods used for each student can vary according to their needs. As a result, students will be able to play different music on the violin and improvise on the instrument. In music theory, ear training, and composition lessons we delve into the basics of music theory in Western Classical tradition, the history of it, and look at some examples as well as practical exercises for a better understanding of the material. Through the process of learning, we will explore different ways of implementing different theoretical aspects of the sound in creative practice.
