Hi, my name is Jeremy and I’m a professional funk bassist. I've been playing music for 17 years, having performed and composed with many groups and ensembles across England and Belgium. I will teach you how to reach your goals while having fun in the process, keeping lessons tailored to your personal needs. I have years of experience helping students improve as well as experience in many different styles of music such as Funk, Rock, reggae, jazz, blues etc! Some examples of what you might learn include: - The basics and advice for beginners - What makes a good bassline - Learning songs that you like - Breaking down rhythms & dynamics - Essential music theory for bass & more advanced techniques (eg: melodic techniques, rhythmic, slap bass, etc) - improvising, jamming and playing with others Appropriate homework/exercises and recordings are provided during lessons. Graduated in Musicology and Jazz Double Bass. Open to all ages. The purpose of this particular course is to transmit knowledge, to give ideas for better understanding music and thus progress better and more quickly. I am a double bass player based in the city of Leuven. I recently obtained my third master in music in double bass at the LUCA School of Arts – Campus Lemmens. I am currently working as a double bass tutti in the Brussels Philharmonic and i am the bass player of the ensembleDRE. As a double bass player i have played in different amateurs and young Orchestras like NJO, the junge-deutsch franzosische philarmonie and Futurorchestra, and with professional Orchestras like Casco Phil and Ataneres Ensemble. As a teacher i have taught pop music and electric bass in Italy. Through my experiences , concerning different kinds of music, i would like to approach the double bass and/or electric bass to people of any age. At the same time, I can offer clearly structured lessons to students of any age, interested in classical music repertoire but also in other genres as pop and rock. I have been playing guitar since I was 12 years old. I started with classical guitar in Italy and then when I moved to the UK i picked up electric guitar. In the lessons we will be looking at everything from technique to harmony, theory and obviously a lot of playing. Any ages, level and genres are welcome!!

I am an experienced music instructor who studied at the music university in Türkiye and has been actively working with large music teams in hotels, bars and concerts for 17 years. If you want to learn bass guitar, classical guitar, saxophone and music theory, I will be happy to teach you, I am a music lover.

The program of my lessons can be agreed and structured with you from the 1st lesson but it is quite possible to have a much more spontaneous approach according to your objectives. I can teach you essential music theory basics in the form of different practical exercises - Introduce you to different techniques related to your instrument or help you improve them according to your difficulties - Guide you in learning pieces of different styles (Pop, Rock, Metal, Funk, Reggae...) And more. I also offer my services for coaching in launching musical projects. Who am I ? Growing up in a musical family, I started music with the classical piano at the age of 6 and played it for 10 years. It was at the age of 13 that I discovered the bass and decided to delve deeper into the subject by starting private lessons and this instrument has never left me since. In the meantime, I also took guitar lessons in parallel for two years and continued as an autodidact. I joined various Rock and Metal bands during my adolescence and decided to join the Neuchâtel Conservatory of Music in the jazz bass section at the age of 16 and studied there for 3 years. It was in 2019 that I had the chance and the opportunity to join the professional band Triumph Of Death (Hellhammer performed by Tom G. Warrior's Triumph Of Death) which performs internationally. Currently, I still play in this group as well as in two other musical groups. In 2020, the desire to teach music by giving private lessons was born and so I began this activity in Switzerland, to continue it in Belgium two years later. Being back in Switzerland in 2024 permanently, I wish to resume private lessons in person in the canton of Jura, as well as online* for students living outside the canton. *Online lessons take place on Google Teams and I already have several students living abroad.
