Hello everyone,

Μy name is Marianna and I am a concert artist and guitar tutor. I have nurtured a profound love for classical guitar since my childhood and commenced my musical journey at the age of 10. After attending the National Conservatory of Athens, I graduated with the highest honours. Furthering my studies, I joined the Royal Brussels Conservatory, where I undertook the Bachelor of Music programme under the tutelage of Antigoni Goni.

Keen to explore different cultures and musical scenes, I opted to pursue further studies in Berlin, where I trained under Rainer Feldmann. Whilst studying at the Universität der Künste in Berlin, I cultivated a distinct passion for Baroque music and received tutelage in Baroque guitar and theorbo from Sam Chapman.

During my studies, I provided private guitar tutoring and also taught at a state music school in Berlin/Brandenburg for five years from September 2018 until August 2023. During this time, I created and oversaw a guitar class of more than 35 students of diverse ages and skill levels. To complement my teaching methodology, I formed three guitar ensembles, ranging from trios to quintets, which incorporated chamber music.

After at least twelve years of teaching guitar to several children and adults, I firmly believe that students should have hands-on experience with the instrument from their very first lesson, and at the same time be introduced to music theory.

I follow a method that emphasizes the development of critical basics in my students to enable them to comprehend music and the instrument through theory and solfeggio, utilizing scores instead of tablatures. Depending on the preferences of the student, we can explore a diverse range of repertoires, encompassing classical and folk genres, among others.

Throughout my teaching career, I have worked effectively and efficiently with learners of all ages and experience levels, from complete novices to those readying themselves for university-level assessments (such as Grade 8 ABRSM).

I am proficient in English, German, and Greek, and possess a rudimentary understanding of French.

For those residing in Berlin/Germany, I currently exclusively offer online lessons.

My name is Marianna and I am 27 years old. I am currently pursuing my music studies in the Royal Conservatory of Brussels along with renowned professor Mrs Antigoni Goni.

From a young age, I got very passionate about classical guitar and started off at the age of 10 . I formally commenced my music studies at the State Conservatory
Of Athens , graduating with the highest distinction. Along with my music studies , I studied International and European Economics graduating from the Athens University.

During my studies , I was teaching private guitar lessons. This experience provided the ideal platform to continue my music studies in Brussels.

I teach classical guitar using scores, not tablatures. All students from the very first lesson use the instrument . My method with my students is to develop bases to approach a musical score through the knowledge of solfeggio and theory . I am able to teach in English and Greek having also a basic knowledge of French and German.

Age and musical taste are not restrictive when in the program, you can with qualitative daily work (not quantitative) quickly observe your progress.

I'm Giorgos and i teach Lute and Classical guitar!
I have over 15 years of teaching experience, and have studied and have my Degrees from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, both in Classical Guitar as well as Historical Plucked instruments.

I regularly perform in concert halls with orchestras and groups all around Europe, perform with my own ensembles based in Brussels and Italy, and enjoy an active teaching schedule.

My aim with teaching is to find the best way to facilitate the student to find their own voice and direction, and to help steer them on their preferred road of performance. Folk or classical acoustic guitar.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).

Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. The objectives take into consideration the following points:

🎵 My journey

I am a guitarist and composer, holding two master's degrees obtained at the IMEP in Namur in classical guitar and classical writing.
I have been teaching for 11 years to children, teenagers and adults, in academies, non-profit organizations, private lessons, online and in higher education. These experiences have taught me to adapt my explanations to very different profiles, from the first contact with the instrument to higher musical studies.

I enjoy performing classical music as much as playing a rock riff or transforming a film theme into a guitar arrangement. This curiosity runs through my career and my teaching: I love discovering my students' musical world and helping them bring it to life.

My stage experience ranges from rock bands to solo classical guitar, trios, and quartets. I compose for various ensembles and create numerous arrangements of film scores, video game soundtracks, and songs. One of my pieces was notably performed by the IMEP Grand Choir.

This dual experience as a guitarist and composer informs my teaching: I enjoy explaining what lies behind the notes, understanding the technical challenges, and illuminating choices in harmony, structure, and interpretation, with accessible guidelines for every level. My curiosity for film, literature, computer science, and Japanese culture also enriches the projects I develop with my students.
