My lessons are students centred, and I aim at the concept of teaching the language in order to communicate and let the student actually use the language. Hence, my approach is mostly communicative and I tend to maximize the students' talking time. Depending on the level I prefer to use gradual controlled activity until they gain enough confidence to do language production tasks, role play to name one. In general, I use visual aids to stimulate the speaking part, as well as teaching in advance some vocabulary needed for the reading or listening sections. I also use a lot of the resources that the internet can offer such as: readings of graded articles with sets of questions aimed at stimulating conversation. Especially with adults who need to communicate as quickly as possible, I use videos taken from You tube or Ted talk. Depending on the student's interest, I select the material and on this I build the foundations for an interesting and stimulating conversation. Last but certainly not least, depending on the learning style of the student, I modify the lessons in order to increase their level of engagement.
