Welcome to my introduction site! My name is Marta and music has been a great love and passion for my entire life. Singing lessons are not only an opportunity to learn singing and something new about music but also an opportunity to express emotions, forget about everyday worries, and have fun! Through music theory lessons you can learn about the structure of music and also develop some very useful music skills such as reading music (sight-singing or sight-reading). All students who have a specific goal in mind, but also all who do not have any specific goal in mind and want to sing or learn theory just for fun, are very welcome! Different options for lessons that I am offering are described below and all of them can be modified and adjusted according to the wishes and needs of the student: SINGING LESSONS FOR CHILDREN (individual or group lessons - maximum 10 students*) Singing lessons for children is basically an integrated method that combines singing with solfeggio, developing basic music theory skills. It consists of playing musical games and singing children's songs and those developing intonation, musical hearing, musical memory, sense for pulse and rhythm, all with attention to healthy singing. SINGING LESSONS FOR TEENAGERS AND ADULTS (individual or group lessons - maximum 10 students*) During singing lessons, we will be searching for a deeper meaning of the story and different ways of interpretation, with attention to healthy singing techniques, pronunciation, and style. The lessons consist of breathing exercises, and vocal warm-up exercises with a specific technical goal and work on the desired repertoire - meaning of the words and story, vocal technique, pronunciation, interpretation, and style. My specialization is in classical singing but I don’t mind working on other genres in my classes. SIGHT SINGING LESSONS (individual or group lessons) Intense course where you will be learning how to read music at sight. The lessons consist of sight singing only, beginning from the easiest level and gradually learning how to read more and more difficult music. You will develop skills needed for sight singing as well as a certain way of thinking appropriate for sight singing. (There is no technique of singing or interpretation involved in these lessons.) SOLFEGGIO LESSONS (individual or group lessons, for children from 8 years old, teenagers, and adults) In these lessons, you will learn how to bring written music to life (sight-singing), how to discover and put on paper the music you hear (musical dictation), and how to build scales, intervals, and chords. This knowledge is needed and examined in every conservatoire and music academy. For some conservatoires and academies, this is an obligatory pre-requirement and elimination factor on entrance exams. It is an inevitable part of every professional music education. MUSIC THEORY LESSONS (individual lessons) Music theory lessons can include, if desired: solfeggio, harmony, counterpoint, music form, analysis, and/or other music theory-related subjects. For each subject, we can make a special program, depending on the wishes and needs of the student. COMBINED SOLFEGGIO AND SINGING LESSONS Combined solfeggio and singing lessons are also possible for adults, as separate subjects or integrated with singing lessons. In both cases, the duration of each lesson is 90 minutes and the program is discussed and created based on the wishes and needs of the student. (A combination of individual singing lessons and a group solfeggio lesson is also possible.*) AUDITION TRAINING AND PREPARATION FOR EXAMS (individual lessons) Preparation for auditions concerning singing and/or music theory includes preparation for entrance exams, regular exams on conservatories, or preparation for ABRSM exams. *Please, contact me for more information about group lessons. I have been teaching for more than six years now and I managed to come up with an easy and approachable method for anyone who wants to learn the ways of this beautiful instrument. I started playing the guitar at the age of twelve years old, thru high school and that eventually led me to the National Conservatory of Bucharest, Romania, where I refined my playing and begun teaching. Having obtained the International Option Baccalaureate (OIB) in Scientific Mathematics specialty with honors this year, I am bilingual in French and English, and I have a level of Terminale S in maths. I know how to give lessons to little ones by making the lessons fun, but I also understand the difficulty posed by the French baccalaureate, being myself there, and can therefore transmit my learning experience to high school students.

Hola amigos! My name is Kevin and I am a Business Administration professional with first-hand experience in tutoring foreign students from different nationalities. My linguistic spectrum consists of English, French and Spanish, which I master both orally and written. As a native Spanish speaker, I possess significant experience in the construction of argumentative texts and academic essays in Spanish. On the personal side, one of my greatest passions are philosophy and literature. As such, I am constantly reading and translating texts in order to increase and develop my language skills. Consequently, my work methodology is mostly focused on motivating the student to speak freely and to learn by acknowledging his/her mistakes. From the beginning, I will try to address the lessons 100% in Spanish, with the aim of familiarizing the ear to the pronunciation. In terms of written exercises, it is important to know what are the student’s learning priorities. When starting with the written part, it is important to know the student is dedicated to practicing and that he will also benefit from this in his future experiences. This is why the exercises will address current social problems that allow him to be fluent when he meets other Spanish speakers. In order for the student to learn as easily and efficiently as possible, homework exercises will be given after each lesson, drafted according to the parts that the students wishes to master best (speaking, reading, listening, writing). This way, the student will benefit from a fluid learning process and, with dedication, will be able to excel in Spanish in a short period of time.

Start the new course learning to play piano! I am a professional classical pianist, accompanist, creator, and composer with a Bachelor's Degree from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and a Master's Degree from the Royal Conservatorium in the Hague. For 7 years now, I have been teaching students of all levels between 5 and 60 years old. Lessons are based on your level, interests, and goals. Together we can find out if you are keener on classical repertoire, or if you want to play your favorite pop music, some beautiful soundtrack from a movie you like or compose/improvise new pieces. With my experience in teaching diverse genres, I will help you explore the music that you like. The central pillars I always work with are technique and creativity, which are much more connected than you would expect! While we advance, I also introduce the basics (or more deeply, if you are interested) of music theory to learn to communicate with each other in musical terms (chords, keys, score reading, etc.). And above all, the goal is to enjoy and have fun!

I am a violin and piano teacher from Cape Town South Africa where I graduated with Honours in a Bachelor in violin performance from the University of Cape Town with distinction. Most recently I graduated from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague (2021) with a Master's Degree in Music Education (specialising in violin). I have 7 years of violin teaching experience and 3 years of piano teaching experience. Most of my students have been young children but I have also had students of all ages, from children as young as three years old to adults who are in retirement. Attending Kodaly training at the conservatory has equipped me to teach from an auditory and songs based perspective, where singing is integrated into the instrumental lessons. I also use movement inside of lessons, as I have had some training inside of the Dalcroze eurhythmics approach. This approach sees movement as the embodiment of the music. I also actively incorporate elements of creativity in my teaching, for example creating improvisations, or making musical stories. In terms of my own experience in music, I have performed as a solo violinist with the orchestra as well as being an ad hoc tutti violinist for the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, and with the baroque violin for the Camerata Tinta Barocca and Cape Consort. I have performed with traditional African musicians and ensembles, as well as with dancers for instance in MusicDance021 which is an interdisciplinary real-time composition project.

You can contact me for extra German lessons at any level. This may include speaking, reading and writing skills, but also grammar, literary history or exam training. I myself have a broad German education: MO-A, MO-B and doctoraal. I have provided German lessons for the Scheidegger Institute, the Educational Center, in-company training and students of VCL The Hague. In addition to German, I teach Dutch up to and including the level of secondary education and NT-2 to non-Dutch speakers. I do not assume fixed teaching methods, but tailor the teaching material to you as an individual student as optimally as possible. In doing so, I make good use of my knowledge from other courses: coaching, counseling, mediation and didactics. As a retiree I can freely dispose of my time and therefore I am flexible in terms of dates and class times. In principle, a lesson lasts one clock hour. This can be extended if desired. I can always be contacted for interim questions. Finally, I can mention that I am a 'stacker' myself, who from the age of 21 to 55 did all his studies in the evenings in addition to a full-time job. For all the people, being young or adult, just beginning or already having some knowledge of the language, this is your class. If you would like to on a trip to a Spanish-speaking country or you are planning to go to study or work there, if you are interested in Catalan culture and its language... you are more than welcomed! Learning a foreign language is always a challenge, but an exciting one, and together we can enjoy it! I'm a bilingual native speaker of Spanish and Catalan, with some experience teaching the language to foreigners when I was living in Barcelona (before I moved to The Hague), and also giving private lessons to high school students.

I am Lorenzo, an Italian guy studying International Studies in The Hague. I graduated last year in an Italian high school in Castelfranco Veneto, my hometown. The school I went to was a “Liceo Scientifico”, characterized for giving an accurate and complete preparation in scientific subjects such as Maths and Physics as well as more humanistic disciplines, for example Latin, Italian literature, Art and Philosophy. Two years ago I lived for a year in Chile through an exchange program that gave me the chance to study for a year in South America. By staying there I had the opportunity to learn to speak fluently Spanish and to develop a deep interest for South American (especially Chilean) folklore, culture and art.
