I've been an English teacher for 22 years. It's my profession, and I'm very good at it.

My method of teaching is to first test my student, discover how best they learn, where they are strong, where they are weak, and teach them what they need to learn in the way that's best for them.

There are many different methods that can be that can be used to teach a student. It is not enough to understand the subject you're teaching. you also must know "how" to teach, and how to discover how a student best learns. This is what separates me from the majority of foreign teachers in China. I'm a professional English teacher, and I know what I'm doing.

About Me

I'm a laid back, easy going person who enjoys life, and is happy pretty much all the time. I discovered the secret to being happy years ago. It's not complicated, but it's also not easy to achieve. ;)

I enjoy simple things. Good food, good conversation.

In addition to teaching English I love reality. Nothing is better than the real world. Nothing.

I'm a philosopher, and I don't use that word lightly, as I've spent more than 30 years striving to become such. Now I teach others who want to learn, but there isn't much interest in philosophy. Most people aren't very interested in better understanding how reality works. How to think critically, how to recognize truth when you see it, and find the truth when it isn't so apparent. Most people don't care about what morality is, or its source. The wonders of the real world, and the joy gained by being able to understand how reality functions isn't a priority for most people. Nor is learning how to think.

I enjoy my work, and everything I do. If I didn't I wouldn't do it. Except for my work of course. I'm a realist, and if I did not have a job that I liked I'd still do it. Obviously. After all, one must produce. I'm just lucky that I enjoy what I do ;P

Education

I went to school and studied English because I wished to be a school teacher, as well as a writer. I received my masters in English. I've also spent most of my life studying Philosophy, and am a philosopher. I favor pragmatism, materialism, realism, and objectivism.

I despise sophistry, solipsism, relativism, idealism, and nihilism. There are others, but they're too numerous to go into, and in truth I disdain labels as well, but they can be helpful at condensing information.

I spent 10 years teaching high school English in the United States, and have been teacing English in China for the past 12 years.
