I can teach my students about management, marketing, supply-chain management, economics, and finance. I enjoy learning about Chinese culture and its practices. I'm not fluent in the language, but I hope to be someday!

I want to connect with my students and help them develop a love for learning English. I have met too many students in Shenzhen that do not enjoy it because of the poor teaching style of their tutors. For 22 years I have been teaching English to both children and adults. I love teaching in general, so whether or not you are a child, or adult, you will receive the same level of professional teaching from me no matter what your age might be.

Before coming to China I was a High school English teacher. I also taught creative writing. Most foreigners living and working in China as English teachers do "not" have prior experience in teaching. Yes many do have university degrees, but those degrees are often not in English, and most have no experience teaching before coming to China. How can someone teach a subject when they do not know how to teach?

I have a Masters Degrees in both English, and Education. This means that teaching is my profession. I was a certified public school teacher in America for 10 years before coming to China, and being a School teacher in America is very different than being a school teacher in China.

Teaching is my chosen profession, and I do it because it brings me great joy. Most of the foreigners in China working as English teachers are "not" real teachers. Yes many have University degrees, but few have degrees in English, and fewer still are certified public school teachers with any prior experience in teaching.

Before I begin teaching a student I will test them in over 30 different areas of English use. Once I know everything I need to know about their English skills, from their Grammar to their Vocabulary I will then identify, and focus only on where they need help. In this way I teach only what the student needs to learn. This way the student learns far more quickly than they would in a standardized classroom with a set curriculum. My classes are made for the student, and as each student is different each class I teach is also different. My teaching is all about the students individual needs. I also create most of my own materials, as the majority of materials you can buy are made for large classes, where every student is taught exactly the same way. Creating your own materials takes more time, but it is the best way to teach. As you are paying for the best service possible I feel it is my duty, and responsibility to give that to you.

Learning English is a path full of interesting facts, stories, legends and games. Forget the old styled boring class that repeats over and over again. I customize each class according to whom I have in front. My students hobbies and interests will determine there personalized class flow. Languages are alive and so they have to be learned and enjoyed.

Hello! My name is Deanna, I am an English Native speaker that is of mixed heritage (Half Chinese, Half English). I speak Cantonese as my second language and basic mandarin. I am a recent graduate that previously studied Professional Musicianship at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute. Then went on to complete the 120 hour TEFL certificate.

I offer English lessons to both adults and children aged 3+. I was previously a primary school English teacher teaching in Hangzhou last year, mainly focusing on teaching phonics and pronunciation.
