I’m Helene, a vocal coach with over 10 years of experience teaching teens (12+) and adults of all levels. I graduated in Jazz Vocals (with piano as a minor) from the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen 2016. My lessons focus on healthy vocal technique (based on CVT), self-expression, and building confidence — especially for those who feel blocked or insecure. I know how that feels, and I’m passionate about helping others grow through their voice. In addition to singing, I guide students in songwriting, music theory, and learning to accompany themselves on piano. We set personal goals and work toward them step by step — with attention, care, and joy.

My classes are suitable for anyone who has interest in learning drawing or just simply practice it and get better in it. I obtained my bachelor degree from Royal Academy of Art in The Hague (2023) and before I studied graphic design and printmaking. First lesson, I ask you about what would you like to achieve with our classes and plan our lessons accordingly. Whether you would like to learn anatomy, figurative drawing, shading, drawing portraits or you would like to develop your personal handwriting or you would just simply like to practice drawing with professional guidance, I always tailor lessons according to your needs and possibilities. I believe there is nothing like 'having a talent for drawing', in fact - Drawing is 90% only about observation! anybody can draw and has unique view on things! I am looking forward to hear from you :)

As a graduate of both Cello and Piano in the Conservatory in Spain, and a final-year student of Compostion at CODARTS Rotterdam, I can provide very solid an tailor-made explanations and guidance for the discovery, understanding, and practice of musical concepts - theoretical, instrumental, and compositional. I strongly believe that everyone has the capacity to express themselves creatively to the highest degree, whether it be playing already existing pieces, improvising, or composing, and have tested methods for teaching how to read, write, integrate, and play around with musical information in my practice as a teacher in a Music School in Hoogvliet for the past 2 years. Teaching music and sharing my knowledge and approach to it has been something i've been drawn to all my life. I believe that every student deserves an individual way of explaining and practicing different ideas suitable for their own experience and personality. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity that I had growing up of being taught by some of the most respected music pedagogues in Spain and am very excited to be able to share with other people, regardless of the scope of their expectations within music. Please feel free to reach out for any question you might have!

Feeling good with your body and listening to it, understanding where the sound comes from and how to produce it, learning the basics and how to read the notes and the score, learning tricks and daily exercises without the instrument to help you develop your agility and muscles, playing together duets to get closer to the chamber music world and to learn how to listen and collaborate with others. I think it's important to listen also to the student's requests and desires; if you have a tune or a piece that you would love to play we can work on it together. Folk music is also an interesting way through which we can get closer to the instrument and the music world, playing traditional dances from different countries and discovering different music languages. As every person has his own physiognomy and musculature, we will try to find together a correct and comfortable posture that better suits the student to create a connection with the instrument. Warming-up and taking care of our body is part of a musician's life (beginner, amateur or professional) and it is important to prevent injuries and muscle pain. Unfortunately this aspect is not often taken into account and for this reason I aim to transmit this value to my students.
