I grew up in the United States and have since then finalized a master's degree in law from University College London. I do not lecture, and I try to keep my talking to a minimum. It is about You, and you should be talking the most.
I like to elicit and get a lot of information from my students', that helps in building their confidence in the language and reducing my teacher talk time.
And finally, my approach is FUN. We need to enjoy what we are doing. I create lessons that are engaging, motivating and interesting. We need to have a laugh and not take things too seriously. Language is play and play is fun, if it's not then we will get bored.
