I am a professional flautist and passionate music educator, currently studying at Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I hold a Diploma with Distinction from the ARSM and have been won in several prestigious national and international competitions, including Galway flute festival, British Flute society competition for three years. I have graduated from London Symphony Orchestra. I love playing and creating music, and I am dedicated to helping others to discover the joy of flute. I have played the flute for more than 20 years, and have been teaching since 2011. I offer flute lessons to children aged 8 and up, and adults at all levels from beginners to post Grade 8. I also teach recorder to younger beginners- I find this is a good stepping stone for younger children as it's more comfortable for smaller beginners to hold, and easier to make a sound on. Learn to pass exams or just for fun- many of my students achieve highly in ABRSM and Trinity grades, but some prefer not to take exams and this is fine too. Whatever your level, one to one tuition means that I can tailor my teaching to your needs as a flute player, and my teaching takes into account the reasons you learn an instrument, encompassing a wide variety of repertoire. I also teach music theory- lots of students come to me to help prepare for Grade 5 theory, and I also teach higher theory grades.

I have thirteen years of teaching experience in the Netherlands and in Belgium ( privately and at music schools/muziekacademies).
