After my secondary studies (economics of modern languages) I studied Germanic Languages at the University of Ghent and obtained a master's degree (major distinction) there.

I am currently pursuing a Masters course at KU Leuven and would like to extend my services as an English tutor.

BUT FIRST! A little about myself. I'm an native English-speaking Chinese Malaysian with four years of international school teaching experience engaging with students between ages 10 and 18. The methods I employ have less to do with sitting down and constantly repeating grammar exercises, and more to do with creative writing games that allow students to embrace and understand mistakes, rather than fear them; I live and love to make things fun!

Classes will consist mainly of activities; debates, short discussions, writing games as well as standard language exercises (depending on what you need/want).

I was born and raised in the USA which means my native tongue is American English. I was a professional writer/blogger for 5 years in addition to currently being a graduate student in a natural science so my technical writing and grammar skills are well polished. I can assist in all sorts of areas - speaking, writing, reading, proofreading etc.

I myself am mainly active as a writer of theatre texts, but I also have experience with writing song lyrics, literary translations, essays etc.. I approach all texts from a creative perspective and artistic vision. As a theatre author I am also concerned with how a text sounds - if it does not sound pleasant, it can certainly be written better.

As a coach, I focus primarily on giving feedback on the texts you write and I am happy to help you get started with assignments to start writing and/or to shake off the dreaded writer's block. If you prefer to focus more on theory around writing, I am of course happy to help you with that too.

I previously taught playwriting in different groups (CREA, Buitenkunst) and work as a script advisor for professional theater makers. Hello everyone! I hold a doctorate in Italian, have been teaching Italian for 5 years and hold a CELTA teaching qualification. I've been preparing students for the A-Levels and GCSE (language + literature). I can prepare you for specific examinations, language lessons in general or teach you Italian for business. The lessons are for everyone, whatever their age or level (children to adults). I will make sure that you discover the Italian culture through the lessons, learn the correct pronunciation and of course learn some grammar. I am open to your needs and can speak a few languages to make sure you understand fully the lessons (of course, we’ll try to use mostly Italian in all our lessons depending on your level).

My academic career has provided me with a high level of proficiency in English, including an understanding of language structure, syntax and grammar.
