About Me

I have been playing the drums since the age of 5 and I give lessons to both children and adults, regardless of their level.
My teaching approach covers all the essential concepts within a supportive environment that encourages artistic freedom and personal development.
Quickly discouraged by the traditional music theory methods offered by some teachers, I continued my learning using a method more focused on the instrument itself.
I have played in bands for several years and still perform on weekends in various cities across Switzerland.

Education

I began learning the violin at the age of 4 and started playing the drums at 5. However, discouraged by traditional academic music theory methods that limited my artistic freedom, I stopped playing the drums during my teenage years.
After studying audiovisual production, I developed a method tailored for young drummers.
This approach helps children discover their own style, expand their musical knowledge, and build a solid foundation, all while encouraging learning through play.
By associating drumming with a positive experience, young musicians are motivated to continue their musical journey.

Teacher having followed the course of the Broye conservatory with Professor Jean Luc Lavanchy for 8 years, member of several Metal groups having toured both in Switzerland and abroad, I offer these services in order to discover or develop the passion for drums, the study of rhythm and musical composition.

The course is intended primarily playful and interactive. We will therefore define together the objectives that YOU care about. (Ex: play a specific song, learn to play in a group, learn to write your own songs, etc.)

The study of rhythm is via a course support (Syncopation for The Modern Drummer by Ted Reed) strongly recommended to have all the weapons to work efficiently at home!

The course is held on electronic drum, which allows a detailed and precise listening. That's why, if you have a good headphone, you can take it with you. Otherwise, you will be loaned one for the duration of the course.

With 15 regular students, children and adults, from beginner to advanced level, I prioritize work focused on different objectives.
Technique, the relationship between the body and the instrument, and independence exercises are as important as listening and exploring certain pieces in depth.
With a little practice, you will quickly acquire the keys you need to be able to enjoy playing the styles of music you prefer.

The online download platform is available to students already registered, with a large selection of pieces, scores, exercises (independence, grooves, techniques, etc.), as well as all administrative documents.

I already have extensive touring and teaching experience and hold a Bachelor's degree in educational guidance from the Lausanne Jazz Conservatory.

I also offer drum masterclasses in various music schools, stores or concert halls, during which I share different concepts related to my musical world.

The djembe school gives lessons in:

- kamelangoni

Lessons are given on Mondays and Tuesdays at La Sarraz at La Filature (garage with the blue door) and on Wednesdays at Bretonnières.

All these instruments can be learned in individual lessons for young and old.
Group lessons are offered for djembe and drum on Monday and Tuesday evening for students from 15 years old.
The other instruments, namely the drums, the kamelangoni and the balafon are only given in individual lessons on the same days before the group lessons, the times are to be agreed.
