Cello and General Music Lessons/ Tutoring in The Hague Area
From 37.51 £ /h
I am Anna, a cellist working as a freelance cello teacher and performer in The Hague. I am a graduate of the Juilliard School in New York and the Royal College of Music in London, and I recently finished my studies at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague, on both modern and baroque cello.
If you are interested in learning the instrument and more about classical music in general, you can contact me with any questions.
Besides the technical and musical instruction within the wide range of styles of "classical" music, I can offer help with basic music theory, solfege, and improvisation.

About Me
American cellist of Cuban and Ukrainian heritage, Anna, has captured the attention of audiences in Europe and the Americas. Beginning her studies on the cello with her father, already from a young age she gained recognition at competitions, giving recitals, and performing concerti with orchestras like the Miami Symphony, the New World Symphony, and the Odessa Philharmonic. Being a Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award winner at From the Top, a Sphinx Competition laureate, and a YoungArts winner, she has been presented with many solo, chamber, interdisciplinary, and orchestral opportunities throughout the United States and Europe. In recent years, Anna has been a featured artist in the Arizona Friends of Chamber Music series, the Brighton Fringe (Music of Our Time), and the St. Hugh-Steinway Concert series. Some recent highlights include premiering Yuri Boguinia’s Cello Concerto with the Aeon Music Ensemble at Carnegie Hall, performing the Saint-Saëns Cello Concerto with the Sinfonietta Bardou, composing and performing music for the Nederlands Dans Theater’s Switch ’20, and creating multi-media works with her trio Kalea, in collaboration with poet Andrew Mitchell and artist Mary Kuper at the British Library and Keats House, in London and Rome.
Anna’s desire to become a more complete and versatile musician has drawn her to Early Music and improvisation these past years, both of which have become increasingly present and important in her career. She recently completed a masters degree at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague in both Classical and Early Music with Lucia Swarts. Her studies have been possible thanks to a J. William Fulbright grant, a Holland Scholarship, and an Excellence Scholarship. Her degrees at the Juilliard School with Joel Krosnick and at the Royal College of Music with Richard Lester, have also been generously supported by the Jerome L. Greene Fellowship, Rose Williams Scholarship, and the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation.
