Cours de français / French classes Uccle-Forest / ONLINE

From 28 £ /h

Hello my name is Sheena, I am a French native speaker born in Brussels 32 years ago.

My teaching focuses on speaking French in a natural way, rather than this formal French you learn at school and don't recognize once you are in the real world. Together we will slowly but surely discover French in a new and interactive light, finding out more about culture, current topics, and general topics to express your needs and opinions in a effective way. I will provide and guide you through different tools (audio, books, etc.) to help you progress.

I have been teaching French for various companies as a freelance, as well as in private language schools for 6 years. It means I have seen people from all nationalities, levels, background and age. I have also been teaching online for two years because of the pandemic, and have collected a large amount of material.

Let's start soon!

About Me

Hello everyone,

I have always been passionate about translating and learning languages. It started with lyrics from Britney Spears I wanted to understand, but I wasn't too impressed with what I found out, and later with the Harry Potter series, because I couldn't wait for the French version to come out.
I love the idea of accessing a new world thanks to languages, and French has a lot to offer in that department!

➤ Learn French with a successful technique: the main objective is to acquire bases or improve your level in French (written & oral: pronunciation, comprehension, language construction, communication, conjugation, grammar & vocabulary). It is also to understand the cultural specificities of Switzerland & France.

➤ Whether it is for work or leisure, the classes are adjusted to the initial diagnosis and to your needs.

➤ The method focuses on your own goals and:

• are adjusted to your own rhythm, with (funny) oral and writing exercises
• help to improve your everyday/practical skills
• on interactivity: you learn much more quickly with private sessions and you develop listening and vocabulary skills in an effective way
• these classes are customized courses to create an environment adjusted to each person, to meet your individual needs & requirements, and to learn French effectively.

➤ Statistically, you will be able to notice that you have progressed with these private classes, after 2 or 3 classes (based on our 2023 survey).

Hello to all of you!
I welcome you to my profile.
You would like to learn French and I would also like to teach you French.
Fortunately, French is my native language. I live in Brussels where I have taught many French courses to French speakers and also to non-French speakers in the framework of FLE (French as a Foreign Language), mostly face-to-face and also some distance learning. I want to expand the use of distance learning.
Hence my presence on this site.
My greatest wish is to help you make as much progress as possible in French.
To this end, I use a judicious combination of oral and written exchanges.
I use these conversations to introduce grammatical concepts and expand your vocabulary. All this in a fun and friendly atmosphere!
You will have to express yourself a lot in French, because my level of Dutch is average. In fact, I speak it at a "normal" pace, but with a more limited vocabulary and expressions than yours.
This may seem a little frustrating at first, but it is a real benefit to you as it forces you to express yourself in French as much as possible!
It's all in your favor!
Please contact me as soon as possible so that we can start a fruitful cooperation.

Let's learn French together! I'm here to help you understand this challenging language, explain it to you, and converse with you about whatever topics you're interested in. I adapt to your pace and needs: I speak slowly and clearly so you can understand me, but I can also speak normally to help you practice understanding all French speakers.
I can give you grammar lessons (conjugation, spelling...), vocabulary lists, and audio or video resources.
I can also help you obtain the DELF, as I have already assisted several people in this process.
Finally, I speak English, Italian and Korean fluently, and I have a B1 level in Spanish, Japanese and Chinese, so I can also give you lessons in these languages.
