Şanal was born in 1996 in Bergama a province of Izmir. He started his first musical education at the age of 11 with "guitar" lessons at Bergama Public Education Center. In 2010, he was accepted to Izmir Işılay Saygın Fine Arts High School and continued his piano education with Şebnem Özkan Şiri and guitar with Ismet Tezcan. While continuing his guitar education, he was accepted to “YÜSEM” with a full scholarship and took lesssons from Onur Önem within the scope of Yaşar University. During his high school education; he won 3rd place in Ankara Science High School Guitar Competition and 1st place in Izmir National High School Guitar Competition. In 2014, he was accepted at the Bilkent University's Guitar Department with a full scholarship. During his undergraduate education, he took guitar lessons from Prof. Kagan Korad and Serkan Agır. Later he was accepted to Germany's Hochschule für Musik “Franz Liszt” Weimar school as part of Erasmus in 2018. He participated
in the “masterclasses” of names such as Roland Dyens, Marco Socias, Ricardo Moyano, Jorge Cardoso, Costas Cotsiolis, Aniello Desiderio, Pavel Steidl, Carlo Marchione, Pepe Romero, Thomas Fellow, Ricardo Gallén. He graduated from Bilkent University's music department undergraduate program in June 2019 with 2nd place.
