Mathematics lessons for KS2, GCSE and A-level students

I am a DBS certified tutor with over 4+ years of tutoring experience in Maths. Previously I was the Head of Maths in a tutoring company based in North London.
My responsibilities included:
- Tutoring students from GCSE level to A-levels including 11+ and 16+
- Giving personalised feedback reports to parents and students, targeting their areas of weakness and how to improve on them
- Setting homework after every lesson so that students are able to go over their work during the week
- Creating class plans beforehand so that my students work is organised and we can go through the whole syllabus in a given time frame
- Creating a friendly atmosphere with my students so that they are able to comfortable approach me with any questions they have
- Proof reading my students personal statements and CV and improving them if needed.
-Preparing my students with interview questions for their chosen schools and colleges

I assign homework after every lesson and provide periodic progress reports.

My teaching approach varies from student to student as i know every students learning approach is unique, hence i tailor my lessons specifically to them. I help build my students confidence in Mathematics so that they are comfortable enough to approach harder questions by themselves.

About Me

I am a dedicated, caring and enthusiastic tutor with experience of teaching children of all ages and abilities.
When teaching I try to focus on developing understanding and mathematical reasoning, rather than simply rote learning formulae. This gives students the tools they need to tackle any problem, rather than being confused by a more "out-there" exam question.

Education

Studying Mathematics at Kings College London- In my final year but on track for a first
A-levels: Mathematics (A*), Further Mathematics (B), Economics (A)
9 GCSE: A* - B

Experience / Qualifications

I was the Head of Mathematics at a tuition centre based in North London. Some of my responsibilities were:
- Prepare lesson plans and learning modules for tutoring sessions in advance according to students' needs and goals.
- Liaising with parents, tutors and students in finding innovative ways to improve the quality of tutoring. Constantly keeping parents informed about the students academic progress.

I have also been a free lance tutor for over two years and have taught students from all ages. Recently i had tutored an A-level student and had helped boost her Mathematics grade from a D to a B in only two months! She was then accepted to her chosen universities.

Biological Sciences - Physics and Chemistry - Mathematics
As a student in Biological Sciences studying at the Imperial College of London, I am well aware of how scientific fields can both be fascinating yet sometimes opaque to one. Having years of experience in both personal tutoring as well as making popular science videos for all, I am now at your disposal to both help you improve your academic levels, as well as renew your interest in the mechanisms of life and the universe. In this class, we will cover everything from basic to advanced levels in biology, physics and chemistry as well as mathematics to provide any student with solid basics to tackle any science course or examination.

Mathematics courses (mainly) and support
Hello! I offer math lessons for various levels. Mainly for gymnasium / college or cycle students (but also for first semester Bachelor students (for example) or medical students, etc ...). I would also be happy to prepare a course on certain subjects if the student is interested and wants to tackle new subjects or branch of mathematics as far as possible (for mathematical culture or simply out of interest)! I prioritize reasoning in teaching, I think that doing without understanding is not very productive I can also provide support in physics. I hope to meet many students in need, and look forward to it! :) “It is with logic that we prove and with intuition that we find.” - Henri Poincaré. As for me, I graduated and am a math student. I am in Lausanne, but can travel to Geneva on weekends.

A Maths teacher teaches Maths, Algebra and Geometry
An experienced teacher at your disposal for: - Methodology adapted to all levels. - Upgrading. - Consolidation of achievements. - Preparation for an examination / competition (CEB, CE1D, CESS.etc). - Help with homework and lessons. - Complementary exercises and review as controls and exams approach. - Advice and supervision at the level of working methods. - Recommended teaching methods. Currently, I am doing my maths aggregation. I am already an electromechanical engineer, graduated as a senior technician in electronics and electrical engineering and who passed my bachelor's degree in mathematics with honors. I teach in different technical fields and especially mathematics, algebra and electronics. At the level of my teaching methods, I use those that are advised pedagogically, I always try to explain and detail as much as possible the courses and I do not pass to the following stages until after making sure that the student understood what I explained. As a teacher, I already have a good teaching experience with students since 4 years. What is certain, I make sure to always go as far as possible to explain the exercises.

Denis
Mathematics Course Gymnasium Level Maturity Path & 1st year of higher studies with EPFL Certified Tutor
I help you succeed in your math exams by targeting fundamental concepts and typical examples from your math lessons to prepare you for your graduate studies. Since 2019, I have had the opportunity to support seven mature students (from 1st to 3rd year) and 5 students in the first year of university studies (EPFL and HEC) in their understanding of mathematics and in passing their exams. This allowed me to understand the main issues they were facing and to respond to them effectively. With the mathematics programs of the three years of the Matura School and the first year of graduate school being busy, it can happen that teachers present new concepts too quickly or that you have several projects to submit simultaneously, which forces you to to leave out some important mathematics chapters. _________________________________________________________________ Our goal is to rework the parts of the program that give you the most difficulty: ➡️ Elementary logic and sets ➡️ Algebra Trigonometry ➡️ Geometry ➡️ Descriptive statistics ➡️ Analysis ➡️ Combinatorial analysis and probabilities ➡️ Complex numbers ➡️ Linear algebra _________________________________________________________________ For this, I use the methodology that I followed during my 5 years at EPFL: 1️⃣ Revision of the theoretical notions and concepts of the problematic chapter in order to assess the strengths and gaps in your understanding. 2️⃣ A practical part focused on solving exercises with an emphasis on: ➡️ a clear and complete establishment of the problems, ➡️ evaluation of your methodology. ➡️ illustrative examples. 3️⃣ A review of what has been done and feedback on the positive aspects and those that still need to be worked on.

math courses higher and lower levels, great experience, teacher, ex-engineer and teacher,
experienced and pedagogue, I have devoted myself to private lessons since approx. 8 years old, made replacements in college and high school in France, taught in private lessons at the Collége du Leman in Geneva (Versoix). Extensive experience for Scientific programs preparing for the French scientific baccalaureate, maturity or international baccalaureate. Follow-up of post-baccalaureate students (1st year EPFL, Uni, BTS) I adapt to the needs of each, the mode of operation and the pace of each. I focus on the Method, help to Clarify, memorize (mental strategy to develop), structure knowledge and deductive reasoning, with patient and benevolence, the goal being to meet the student's need, to help him to achieve his goals and make him appreciate math if necessary I am passionate about this work, and prepare for the teaching diploma for 2021 Thank you, maybe soon ..

Math (SAT, SAT subject tests, A level, GCSE, Calculus 1-2), Physics (SAT subject test, A level, GCSE, Fundamentals of physics), English
I help student with finding their own way of understanding the logic behind mathematics and physics. From where and how to derive formulas and work with given problems without even meeting them before. My way of teaching English is different from a standard English courses. I work more on boosting self confidence of a student, as an English speaker, rather than concentrating on grammar of the Language.

Luana
Mathematics, Statistics, Python and R Programming Tutoring
Maths and statistics can be scary but they are undoubtedly extremely important. Unfortunately, students are often overwhelmed by technical terminology and formulas that apparently are of no use. My goal is to demystify mathematics and statistics, making them closer to your daily life and/or area of expertise. Discipline, accessibility, and (why not?) a bit of fun are key factors to an effective and long-lasting learning process!

Evgenii
Maths, Physics, and Programming tutoring for all levels
Math, Physics, and Programming are all incredibly important in the modern world. Take a look at any of the groundbreaking discoveries of the 21st century and you will find it involved at least one if not all of these subjects. I was privileged to work at several international research centers and experience first-hand the power such a tool-set provides. Currently, I am a Lecturer at TU Delft and enjoy sharing my knowledge with the new generation of enthusiastic students. However, I also would like to help school students, who might experience some problems with these subjects, to understand them and develop a sustainable passion for learning. In my classes, I always use a personal approach, relating study material to the topics students already know and like. In such a way I can make sure that students not only understand the material but remember it longer and keep motivated to learn more about it.

Mathematics courses - middle school and high school student all streams
Three principles govern my teaching: - Taking into account the student's expectations and educational dialogue - A very personalized follow-up: exercise on the chapters that the pupil does not yet master very well. - The structuring of my lessons: I work several hours before each lesson. Many students experience learning math as a compulsory chore that must be passed in order to be successful. If its need is not to be called into question, it is necessary to rehabilitate the playful aspect of teaching in mathematics so that the pupil learns more easily!

Private Maths Lessons - Limoges or Online - Qualified and Experienced Mathematics Teacher
I am a qualified and experienced private math teacher. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career giving remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual tutoring by following a pedagogical training from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private math lessons daily for almost 10 years. Pleasantly surprised by the impact of my lessons on the school career of my students, in 2018 I created Math Coaching, an online tutoring platform. The platform provides students around the world with quality educational content focused on making math learning easier. The students who follow my private lessons benefit from personalized support. The first session is devoted to an in-depth assessment of the student's mathematical knowledge. The objective is to detect its weak points and understand their origin in order to adapt my courses to its needs. I develop a tailor-made remediation program for each of my students aimed at filling each of their gaps. Over the course of the sessions, the student builds a solid foundation for learning and regains self-confidence. At the same time, I help him acquire a work methodology that allows him to gradually become autonomous in his studies. I have a perfect knowledge of the mathematics program of the College and the High School (from the Sixth to the Terminale). During my formative years, I studied and developed many techniques that make it easier to learn math. The strength of my pedagogical approach lies in my ability to explain in a simple way everything that the student finds complicated. I am passionate about this job because it gives me the opportunity to guide dropout students on the path to success. It is a real pleasure to see them evolve and come to terms with the fantastic world of mathematics. I give my private lessons in Limoges (at the student's home) or remotely (by internet). My distance learning courses take place on an interactive online whiteboard. This table is specially designed to promote student / teacher interaction on the internet. Thanks to this educational tool, my online courses are as effective as home courses. The student only needs an internet connection and a computer, a tablet, or a smartphone to use it.

Private lessons in math - physics - engineering
I am an aeronautical engineer and I am well aware of the frustration of not achieving the desired academic results. I was here. A lot of times. I find it very satisfying to teach and to see how my students achieve their goals. I sincerely believe that learning is a privilege and a pleasure. It is my top priority that my students feel this. My level of mathematics, physics and engineering is very competent. Although of course, for very specific topics or doubts, I will have to analyze whether I am able to teach lessons with ease or not. Do not hesitate to write to me. I am used to working with people of different ages. I believe in segmentation, visualization of progress, objective results and practice. For students who have difficulty I analyze the root of learning problems. And, above all, I try to motivate them. An ideal lesson time would be distributed as follows: 20 minutes question and answer and start from these gaps, 30 minutes to advance, 10 minutes lateral thinking. Beyond these general lines, there is no rule or magic method. Some things work with some students and not with others. Adapting to needs is really the goal of private lessons. So I will do my best to find what motivates and helps my student.
