Mathematics lessons for KS2, GCSE and A-level students
From 36 £ /h
I am a DBS certified tutor with over 4+ years of tutoring experience in Maths. Previously I was the Head of Maths in a tutoring company based in North London.
My responsibilities included:
- Tutoring students from GCSE level to A-levels including 11+ and 16+
- Giving personalised feedback reports to parents and students, targeting their areas of weakness and how to improve on them
- Setting homework after every lesson so that students are able to go over their work during the week
- Creating class plans beforehand so that my students work is organised and we can go through the whole syllabus in a given time frame
- Creating a friendly atmosphere with my students so that they are able to comfortable approach me with any questions they have
- Proof reading my students personal statements and CV and improving them if needed.
-Preparing my students with interview questions for their chosen schools and colleges
I assign homework after every lesson and provide periodic progress reports.
My teaching approach varies from student to student as i know every students learning approach is unique, hence i tailor my lessons specifically to them. I help build my students confidence in Mathematics so that they are comfortable enough to approach harder questions by themselves.

About Me
I am a dedicated, caring and enthusiastic tutor with experience of teaching children of all ages and abilities.
When teaching I try to focus on developing understanding and mathematical reasoning, rather than simply rote learning formulae. This gives students the tools they need to tackle any problem, rather than being confused by a more "out-there" exam question.

Experience / Qualifications
I was the Head of Mathematics at a tuition centre based in North London. Some of my responsibilities were:
- Prepare lesson plans and learning modules for tutoring sessions in advance according to students' needs and goals.
- Liaising with parents, tutors and students in finding innovative ways to improve the quality of tutoring. Constantly keeping parents informed about the students academic progress.
I have also been a free lance tutor for over two years and have taught students from all ages. Recently i had tutored an A-level student and had helped boost her Mathematics grade from a D to a B in only two months! She was then accepted to her chosen universities.
