Professional Piano Tutor: Lessons for All Levels and Ages (4+)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Looking for a passionate and professional piano teacher for your child or for yourself? My lessons are designed to bring out the joy of music and enhance creativity, while also gradually improving technique based on age and individual abilities. As a dedicated and experienced professional teacher with a university degree, I take teaching seriously and am committed to providing effective lessons tailored to each student. I offer different approaches to suit the individual needs and goals of every student. Playing an instrument should be a delightful experience and that's exactly what my lessons are all about! PRE-SCHOOL CHILDREN Are you a parent eager to introduce your little one to the wonderful world of music? My lessons are designed to be playful and engaging. Using specially adapted piano books, including a method tailored for children as young as 4 years old, I'll guide your child through an exciting musical adventure, complete with stories, games and new songs to learn. We'll explore music through singing, movement, and rhythm, helping your child develop a deep and lasting love for music. SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN The lessons are more than just learning songs. Children will explore a piano book filled with stories, characters, engaging music, and games. Depending on preferences we can dive into playing music with accompaniment recordings, which allows children to immerse themselves in a complete musical experience. Theory learning is included. TEENAGERS Are you looking for a piano teacher who will encourage and support your teenager's passion for music? Thanks to a hybrid method book for older beginners that contains pedagogically and age appropriate piano pieces, technical exercises, and supplementary activities, students are able to play hands together from the very first day, unlikely to traditional methods. In case of a former experience in playing the piano, I build on their existing knowledge and continue to expand their skills and creativity. I am also open to student's suggestions, I believe that playing a piece they enjoy is effective in keeping them motivated. ADULTS It's never too late to pick up a new skill. As an adult, you have unique advantages over children when it comes to learning music. You have greater focus, a better grasp of music theory, and a strong motivation to succeed. We'll follow a hybrid method book for older beginners that contains pedagogically appropriate piano pieces, technical exercises, and supplementary activities, and allows you, unlikely to traditional methods, to play hands together from the very first day. Do you have a favorite song that you've always wanted to play but thought it was too difficult? There are plenty of classical and popular melodies that have been arranged for beginners, so you can start playing them right after grasping the basics of piano playing.

Qualified teacher - Master in Educational Sciences - specialized academic support for atypical learning profiles (ADHD, HPI, DYS, ASD)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Hello, my name is Claire. I hold a Master’s degree in Educational Sciences and for the past 5+ years I have specialized in supporting students with atypical learning profiles: ADHD, gifted (HPI), dys disorders (dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia), and autism (ASD). As both an educator and the mother of two children with ADHD and high potential, I deeply understand the challenges linked to attention, organization, learning strategies, and self-confidence. Why this specialization? Every student learns differently. Some need more reformulation, others visual supports, others a more structured framework. Over the past 5 years, I have seen that: - atypical learners often have strong abilities, but are held back by methods that don’t fit their needs, - working on organization and study strategies makes a real difference, - one-to-one lessons are an opportunity to use specific approaches: oral reformulation, breaking tasks into steps, learning to handle instructions, or planning revisions. My role also includes early identification: helping families understand whether difficulties are linked to attention, dys disorders, or simply methodological needs, and guiding them towards the right resources. Why private lessons? Because they provide: - a safe and supportive environment, - a pace adapted to the student, reformulated and repeated explanations, - a personalized follow-up that highlights the student’s strengths. For younger children, I recommend in-person lessons. For secondary school and higher education, online lessons are also effective. Types of support : - Targeted subject support: reading, writing, French, maths, English. - Study skills & organization: planning, time management, task breakdown. - Working on instructions and problem statements: techniques to read carefully, avoid skipping words, and answer correctly. - Exam & oral preparation: strategies adapted to ADHD, dys, or ASD profiles for stress management and focus. - Long-term coaching: steady support to build autonomy, confidence, and lasting progress. Methods & tools: - Rewritten materials to make them clear and easy to understand. - Oral learning to focus on knowledge without the overload of writing. - Task breakdown into simple steps. - Shared online agenda to clarify weekly tasks. - Regular assessments to track progress and adjust methods. Pricing & follow-up Each session includes: 1. The lesson (in-person or online), fully tailored to the student. 2. The preparation beforehand: rewriting materials, creating adapted exercises, and setting goals. My mission: to give every atypical learner the right framework, strategies, and confidence to succeed in their education.

Music Composition, Music Theory, Solfege and Improvisation.Translate this text using Google Translate.

Music Composition, Music Theory, Solfege and Improvisation.Translate this text using Google Translate.

I specialized in contemporary music composition in Bucharest, Birmingham and Paris having finished with honors my Bachelor, my Master and my Doctorate degree in this field. I also have a pedagogical degree and 2 years of experience in which I taught music composition, musical forms, poliphony, orchestration, music theory and solfege at the National University of Music from Bucharest. In 2022 I finished a 2nd Master's Degree in Film Music Composition at the ZHdK. This class is for both beginners who want to compose music as a hobby and to aspiring professional composers. The main topic of my doctoral thesis was the compositional idea and the processes involved in the creative undertakings. How does one reach the final stage of a composition from just a few ideas? How can we improve this endeavour? What strategies and techniques are needed in order to do that? The class will be customized for each student so in order to achieve a certain objective in music composition the lessons can include elements of music theory, harmony, poliphony, orchestration, improvisation, music notation (Finale & Dorico) and music production (StudioOne). Although solfege and improvisation are extremely useful (I dare say even indispensable) for a professional composer, they can also be means to an end for passionate music lovers. Solfege and strategies that come with it can help your singing and music sight reading. And improvisation is such a fun and relaxing activity that I think everybody should do it!

I had the great privilege of having Sofia preparing me for a competitive international orchestra audition in November 2022. During the brief time we had for the preparation, Sofia has not only shown thorough understanding of violin techniques - from the fundamentals to the more virtuosic - but also a command of the whole spectrum of musical expressions, both of which she was able to convey with clarity and effectively. Furthermore, due to her extensive experience in performances/auditions, she identified my strengths and weaknesses immediately from the start and designed a strategic practice plan specifically for me, which helped me improve rapidly within our short time frame and maxed out my performance at the audition. She is a rare teacher who is encouraging and shares the students’ passions, without compromising critical judgement in any flaws in performance, giving me a realistic assessment of my abilities and a great sense of security before the audition. Musical matters aside - she is a caring, warm, and passionate person who does not hesitate to mobilise all her resources to help me -intellectually or otherwise, despite her busy schedule. I honestly could not have completed my audition without the advice and confidence she gave me. 10/10 would recommend.

Nick's approach is patient and thorough, informative and imaginative as well. He always comes up with his own examples in order to test my knowledge on a given exercise and helps me get to the answer at my own pace, rather than handing it to me. He doesn't use a one-size-fits-all method, but rather tailors his lesson in order to get out my full potential, even in a field I find difficult. He makes himself available for additional questions and is overall great to work with!

Zeljana is very good teacher. She immediately found flows in my guitar technique during first lesson, which I know that I'm doing, but it was too uncomfortable for me to change my bad habits before. She shows me the best ways how to improve over it. After first lesson I can already feel that I can progress enourmously with her tutoring. Lesson are very comfortable. You don't need to feel nervous at all. Finally I can very recommend Zeljana.
