I am Merijn, 20 years old, and student of History at the Free University of Amsterdam. Ever since primary school, I have been interested in the profession. In addition, I spend a lot of free time reading subject-related books and watching programs, documentaries, etc..
I took the history course at the Atheneum and eventually passed. I still had a hard time answering questions on my test. I often wrote 8 pages full just to make sure I got something right, haha. Giving witty, relevant answers is very important here, and I've learned to master this over the years.
I can help with questions from primary school level, up to 6th year VWO, in which it does not matter which period in history this is about. In addition, I can help with teaching material offered by your school, but I can also bring my own material or ask other questions, which might make it just a bit easier to understand.

The fact that the interpretation and understanding of one of the realms of socio-political knowledge is not enough to either understand that single discipline of study whether it be Law, History, Political Science, Economics, Sociology or Philosophy- you cannot separate any from the whole and be able to understand the Short, Nasty,BrutishTM nature that reality is and that conditions human life.

While my studies and work have nigh been exclusively related to Law, my interests which pushed me there were/are seemingly very different. Through my experience I may humbly submit that the the perspectives that each discipline approaches problems with are crucial in solving very distinct "linguistic" problems within their specific paradigms. They however are victims of dogma as is academia in general it would be fair to say. Living in the times we do, it is not only necessary as a basic informational issue but as an issue of responsible citizenry, young adults must be well educated about the political economy.

Whether you're looking to study and/or are currently studying and/or want to learn about any of the aforementioned subjects whether in conjunction with current coursework and/or assignments, or if you're just interested and would like to learn about a specific period in time, this is for you.

Following the needs I can focus on Grammar, vocabulary, conjugation, etc. I like to develop my classes with introduction to French culture such as cinema and music. I think it is a nice way to enhance the motivation of the student to learn by himself.

I have been giving "Chinese language and culture" to schools and colleges for 15 years. Many a student has taken at least one HSK exam (international exam for Chinese level) with me. In addition to language skills, I introduce you to Chinese culture through music, film, food, calligraphy etc.
