Cheslava did not waste a moment of time and found her rhythm with my son very quickly. There was an amazing sense of grace and patience in her tone, yet there was a firm bit of direction that moved the lesson in a clear direction. As a particular detail, I very much appreciated the moments that she asked my son about his experience throughout, and encouraged him to describe every degree of his challenges which I believe teaches him to go beyond the impact of his feelings but to technically observe weaknesses to improve them. Maram is one of the best Arabic teachers I've ever had the pleasure of studying with. Very intelligent, and is particularly good at anticipating the student's questions and interests. Strong knowledge of Modern Standard Arabic, as well as Syrian and other dialects. Great personality that makes learning fun. Very flexible in accommodating student's interests; I can personally testify to her aptitude in discussing political materials at the advanced level.
