Decoding is a key skill that can unlock many opportunities, however the English language can be challenging to acquire. Through using proven teaching methods I am able to develop phonics skills to develop proficient, confident readers. Supporting pupils to successfully pass screeners or pupils with suspected or diagnosis of dyslexia to develop their reading skills to support them in accessing more opportunities in the world. I am a qualified teacher obtaining a BSc in Psychology from UCL and PGCE in Science from Canterbury Christ Church with over 15 years of experience working with young people. I am a passionate teacher, who enjoys supporting individuals learn and grow. In addition to this I am a qualified and practicing SENDCo, which requires the wider leadership and implementation of adapting teaching techniques to support individual's learners needs and development of skills to ensure progress.
