Having graduated with a 2.1 BA degree in English Literature with Creative Writing at the University of Hertfordshire, I have been tutoring English and Maths for 8 years, as well as some English Adult Learners. I have further experience of teaching drama workshops in primary schools and secondary schools, as well as often leading acting improvisation sessions at a drama group I belong to. I have further experience of Modern Hebrew tutoring. I tutor English for all stages from Nursery up to and including A-level standard. I tutor Maths for all ages up to KS3. I also tutor Drama for KS1, KS2, KS3 and GCSE. Having tutored a variety of children of various ages, I have been able to nurture a great diversity of teaching methods having learnt to adapt my teaching methods to the different styles of learning that inspire and engage different students, but also guiding students to think independently. I like teaching English, especially for teenagers because they are independent and I have a lot of experience teaching teenagers. I am teaching by using a variety of methods. I usually give some games to my students such as broken telephone, pantomime, guessing game and they are enthusiasts to learn English. Besides that, I teach speaking both dialogue or monologue. I do role play in the classroom such as role-play in fast food restaurants. I give the students a short conversation and they do it in pairs in front of the class. The setting looks like real things because I also prepare the fast-food restaurant equipment. For teaching monologue, I ask the students to tell their favorite things or do a simple procedure like how to make a cup of hot chocolate. I can teach all language skills. I have 5 years of teaching experience, both formal and informal institutions. I used to teach kids, teenagers, and adults. But, mostly I teach teenagers. It is fun teaching teenagers because not only teaching English but I can share stories and experiences with them and I like to give some advice about the school, teachers, relationships, friendships, and etc. I use some methods to teach English like answer and question, communicative language teaching, the natural approach, and audio-lingual methods. Using various methods can make learning English more interesting and the students will be more confident and active in practicing English. I gain my bachelor of education from the Indonesia University of Education in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Then now, I am doing my master’s degree in the School of Postgraduate Studies, English Education program from the same university and I am in the third semester and next year hopefully I am going to start writing my research proposal. I have a good TOEFL score and a good cumulative GPA.
