I offer private singing lessons in Ghent with piano or guitar accompaniment. Knowledge of music theory isn't necessary; a desire to sing and work is all it takes! We'll focus on warming up, technique, and intention, but the joy of singing is always paramount. I can also teach you how to accompany yourself on guitar or piano while singing. Besides singing, we can also focus on songwriting, and I can guide you through the writing process and offer creative writing exercises. For me, singing and writing music are the most rewarding things there is, and I'd love to help you discover your own voice. I have 13 years of experience as a professional singer (Sophia plays Leonard Cohen, Ansatz der Maschine, Little Dots) and 8 years of experience as a voice teacher. I also have extensive experience in music education with young children and organized music camps for children aged 4-9 for a while. Eyal has taught hundreds of students over the past 15 years, both guitar and piano next to music theory and composition. Besides his formal music education (a bachelor's in composition, a teaching degree from the music academy in Jerusalem, and a master's in composition from Codarts, Rotterdam), Eyal has acquired experience in a wide range of various musical styles, including Rock, Blues, Jazz, classical music, electronic music, and contemporary music, on which he bases his rich approach which can be adjusted to every student separately. Solos, chords, improvisations, heavy distortion or acoustic guitar, playing at a party or jumping on stages, reading notes, or playing by ear. Maybe you know exactly what you want, and maybe you are not sure. In Eyal's view, the job of the teacher is to help you find that out, and guide you through your process. Johann Sebastian Bach or John Lennon? Sergei Rachmaninoff or Freddie Mercury? Regina Spektor? Nina Simone? Maybe Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart? Complex harmonies or simple melodies?
