Trusted teacher: Besides being very active as a performing violinist, I have also been teaching children and adults for years with pleasure. I graduated from the conservatory and also graduated as a music therapist. I am currently training to become an orthopedagogue. As a result, I have a lot of knowledge and patience when working with children/adults who need specific attention. Think of people with autism, gifted children and highly sensitive children. Of course, you are also welcome as an adult with or without additional challenges. I myself have 3 children, 1 gifted and 1 highly sensitive. This has allowed me to teach these children with even more enthusiasm, understanding and patience. It is also possible to indicate in advance in conversation what your child will encounter and how violin lessons can help. For example, with autistic children, think of making contact, feeling. Gifted children experience extra challenges and learn to deal with the frustration that something does not work right away. Of course everyone is welcome with me! I teach from different methods, but look at what is appropriate for each student. I also work on the development of sound performance, solfege, music theory and improvisation. Teaching is my great passion over 40 years and represents an important complement to my artistic activities as an internationally touring violin soloist and chamber musician, for which I have received several international music awards. I am excited to pass on my wealth of teaching and "on the stage" experience and sharing the "violin playing knowledge", that I got it in the past during my regular violin studies with such wonderful teachers and artists as Igor Ozim and members of Amadeus quartet in Cologne, Galina Barinova and Grigori Zhislin in Moscow, Josef Suk and Klaus Maetzl in Vienna, Josip Klima in Zagreb and Franco Gulli (Masterclasses). I have an individual approach towards each of my students. I always try to show my students how to achieve maximum results through appropriate way of practicing and time-management. I teach my students to be independent, organized and responsible. The most important teaching elements, I take care on all levels of teaching process: - To keep in mind that everybody is different and to treat everyone as an individual! - To teach singing on violin, even if playing exercises and scales. - To support individual creativity on all levels - To teach how to practice and how to organize practicing time - time management - Taking care to listen to yourself "objective" and how important it is for all aspects of playing: technique (sound control, intonation, rhythm etc) and musical phrasing with final goal - "interpretation". - To choose the right selection of violin pieces (concerts, sonatas, short pieces etc.) and right exercises according to student/pupil's level - Building a solid violin basic technique and to take care for it on all levels - work on intonation problems and tonal restrictions, bowing solutions etc. - Regular intensive work on scales, "etudes" and other exercises for left and right hand - To take care of synchronization and "timing" of left-right hand. - Dealing with nervousness and finding solutions how to prevent being "too nervous" on the stage I love to give violin lessons for pupils of "Second teaching level" mostly of age 14-19 and "First teaching level - beginners and 1-6 years of playing, but preferable with the agreement of pupil's regular violin teacher or in special cases after previous appointment.

Trusted teacher: Hello, I'm Ana and I'm a graduated violist, a permanent member of Symphony orchestra "Stanislav Binicki" in Belgrade, Serbia. Before passing the audition in an orchestra in January of 2017, I was a professor of viola and violin in a special boarding school for musically gifted children "Skola za muzicke talente Cuprija", for five years. The school is founded and lead by the "Academy of music arts" in Belgrade. There are three schools in the world of that kind: in London, Moscow, and Serbia. My students got 25 1st and few 2nd awards in the republic and international competitions, and all of them signed in to desired academies in Germany, Canada and Serbia as first on the list and with full scholarships. We still keep in touch :) I was a member of the Royal chamber orchestra St. George for four years and took part in many world tours. I played also in National Radio and Television Orchestra in Serbia, Orchestra of National theater of Serbia, National Symphony orchestra of Montenegro and National Symphony orchestra in Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I was a member of orchestras which took part in projects "Bridges for the future" in Bern, Switzerland, “Festival Junger Kunstler”, Bayreuth, Germany, “Deutsch-Skandinavischen Jungend-Philharmonie” in Berlin, “Music days international festival” in Russe, Bulgaria, etc. I am currently a Ph.D. student in the 3rd year of studies in Management for culture and media, on the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, Belgrade. I will help with exams, GCSE, and A-Levels, as well as help students obtain their grade 5 theory to advance and take higher grades in composition or viola. I started teaching when I was 17 years old. While I was studying viola and composition I would help colleagues learn Harmonic Theory for University exams or just for fun. Whilst studying, in order to support my learning abroad, I started teaching children and teenagers. The classes included a wide variety, from; supporting their studies during the school year, to their first approaches to music as well as nurturing love and excitement for playing and making music. After University I continued giving classes during the last few years. The compositional strand of training if a student wishes to undergo it has many elements we will learn the theory needed to competently make music learn systems that allow us to break down composition as well as multiple genres. work they can do by themselves at their own pace, allowing each student to work and grow at a rate suited to their ability. -Building a strong understanding of melodies and chords and how different instruments work and support each other. -If they are studying in a formal educational establishment, they will receive support and guidance in regard to their work and exams. I utilised exercises that are designed to engage young developmental minds, like those you’d find on a children’s show. This keeps the passion for music alive. With teenagers, my approach centres on elevating and reinforcing what they learn from school using exercises and providing tools to break down ideas musically. In addition, I also prepare for GCSE and A-levels. Lessons will follow a path of progression, teaching them how to approach the next levels of theoretical and practical competence. Allowing the students to understand their Progression and their path forward increases the likelihood they will continue studying. Lessons are flexible, and curated on a student-to-student basis as well as making sure to incorporate what I believe they need to achieve the next level. This involves; practical music training, ear training, building on theoretical knowledge, as well as learning songs they love to ensure they feel fulfilled and have fun with music.

Estella is a very positive, always happy teacher. Even though my son has been having on-line lessons with her, we can always feel her positive attitude during the lessons. She is very patient, gives lots of important tips and feedback, which has been helping him to guide his learning, improving in every aspect of it. We can see how much she care about the whole learning experience. It’s been very useful to expend his time while at home doing the lessons. He has been practicing more and has been feeling more motivated since he started the lessons with her. We definitely recommend her as a Saxophone teacher!

I've been working with Professor Volodja for some time and I have to admit that I've never felt better while playing and that I have never made much progress in such a short time. The energy that the professor brings to the teaching and his spirit make violin lessons incredibly fun and encourage even more effort and even more persistence . To all those who are interested in studying with Professor Volođa, I warmly recommend that they do so, because this is a man who demonstrates in the right way what zeal and love for music a musician should have.

It was the first time my son took a violin lesson through skype (I had my reservations using this media) but it worked out fine. Miguel is a great violin teacher, giving clear guidance and encouragement. He is friendly, patient and very knowledgeable. It was not that much different from a 'life' lesson. We used an ipad beside the music stand so the teacher had a good view of my son.
