A Graduate from Maynooth University with a Bachelors of music Degree and a Masters in Musicology. With over 20 years violin experience and having played as part of orchestras and ensembles playing in venues such as The National Concert Hall, The Helix, and the Mansion House. - Offering both practical and theory lesson to fully encompass the learning process. - Typical lesson 30 minutes, grade 5 upwards 45-60 minutes. - Lessons for all ages and all abilities, including any learning disabilities or special needs requirements (music is an excellent outlet for all no matter what level) - I have played violin for over 20 years and have progressed students through both RIAM and ABRSM exams. I offer a welcoming and comforting environment to all students. My aim is to make classical music more accessible and affordable to all who wish to play. By valuing music in our everyday lives, embracing it as an essential part of a healthy, vibrant society. My vision is to create a community where everyone can experience inclusion, creativity, diversity and empowerment through music. My aim is to create this space for students to learn and grow. I started violin lessons at the age of eight, and was apart of Orchestra and Ensembles from a young age. Supporting and nourishing a passion for music, no matter your circumstance, giving opportunities to create, play and perform music is my vision.

Professional Violin Lessons for Beginners and Intermediates: Technical, Theoretical and Expressive Development, with a Personalized ApproachTranslate this text using Google Translate.

This violin course is designed for beginners and intermediate students, and aims to develop the essential technical and musical skills for playing smoothly and expressively. The program includes learning the fundamentals of violin playing, such as correct posture, grip, and producing a clear tone. You'll work on scales and arpeggios to develop your dexterity, as well as bowing techniques to master different stroke patterns. Sheet music reading, musical analysis, and music theory practice are integrated into the course to strengthen your theoretical knowledge and music-reading skills. Alongside this, you'll explore a diverse repertoire, ranging from classical works to more contemporary pieces, and will have the opportunity to work in a group to improve your listening and coordination with other musicians. The course also includes personalized guidance to structure your practice and prepare you for performances, with an emphasis on musical expression and managing stage fright. My approach aims to make each student independent and to encourage their musical development in a caring and motivating environment.

Starting with little prior experience, learning violin with Monique has led to incredibly fast progress. She is professional, patient, and incredibly skilled at explaining things in a way that feels encouraging rather than overwhelming. At the same time, she is warm, empathetic and always creates a positive atmosphere during lessons. I always look forward to practicing with her, and I can genuinely recommend her to anyone looking for a supportive and inspiring violin teacher

My first class.. and I started quite confidently. He made me understand the beats and counting so easily. It was indeed smooth. Was not at all uncomfortable.

Alison is a great teacher, her class is enjoyable and productive with focusing a lot on skills. She is also very welcoming. Highly recommended
