Sophie trained classically at the University of Manchester and the Royal Northern College of Music and has performed as a soloist with various opera companies. Alongside teaching privately, Sophie is a Singing Tutor of Musical Theatre at Italia Conti, one of the UK's oldest and leading drama schools. Sophie is a Vocal Rehabilitation Coach and works with the Voice Clinic team at Lewisham and Greenwich Hospital. There, she supports a world-class team of clinicians, helping injured singers and those experiencing voice difficulties to restore their vocal function and return to performance. Sophie is also a Course Leader for the Association of Teachers of Singing ‘Essentials’ Teacher Training Course, where she mentors and trains the next generation of singing teachers. She has prepared many students for ABRSM, GCSE and A-Level exams, auditions, competitions, as well as several students accepted on to various prestigious places, including the Royal Academy of Music and the BRIT school. Sophie continues to receive mentoring from Linda Hutchison (Guildhall School of Music & Drama), Elena Hope (Leeds Conservatoire) and Wilma MacDougall (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland). I am a classical singer who developed many artistic skills and I am ready to share them with you! Classical technique can be the basis for any type of vocal genre. My goal is to find an individual key to each student and provide a personal approach to every type of voice. The plan will vary depending on different levels of student, but mainly will be focused on discovering your true voice, vocal warm-ups, practice patterns, interpretation and character of the piece, language coaching, physical engagement of a singer. Language coaching: Due to my cultural exposure, I had an opportunity to learn multiple languages and I am fluent in Portuguese, English, French, Italian and Spanish besides native Ukrainian and Russian.

Since I was eight years old, singing has been and still is my favourite thing to do. I have been trained formally as a vocalist since the age of 10 studying music in the styles of classical, contemporary and jazz. I have recently received a certificate for Level I of The LoVetri Institute for Somatic VoiceworkTM and will continue to gain credentials in this method of training. I specialise in teaching rap skills and lyric writing. If you enjoy rap music and would like to learn how to improve your technique then I am here to help you! I have many years of experience teaching, performing and recording my own music. I sing, rap, write lyrics and have performed with a band in the past. I can cover different styles including Hip Hop and Grime. We will also cover lyric writing where I can help you with your flows and technique to create your own original material. There is an option to get custom made beats to help you create your own original tracks. I really enjoy teaching and like to make the lessons challenging and fun.

My name is Natasha and I’m a professional opera singer and a passionate and experienced singing teacher. I teach a classical based technique that can be applied to lots of different genres of music.
