Intensive Exam Catch-Up Course - High School Diploma · Summer 2026 by EPFL Student +++Translate this text using Google Translate.

Intensive Exam Catch-Up Course - High School Diploma · Summer 2026 by EPFL Student +++Translate this text using Google Translate.

Are you taking your resit exams for the baccalaureate in July or August 2026 after failing in June? Do you want to strengthen one or more subjects before your end-of-summer exams? That's exactly what I'm proposing! WHAT WE CAN WORK ON TOGETHER: -Catching up and catching up on failed chapters -Review and analysis of the June exam (what went wrong, why, how to correct it) -Targeted revision with typical maturity-level exercises -Method: time management, writing, presentation of calculations -Consolidation before the end-of-summer exams -> I work with high school students who need targeted, effective and structured support — a real refresher course, exam by exam, concept by concept. WHO AM I ? My name is Claire, I am a 3rd year Bachelor student at EPFL (IC Faculty - Computer Science) and I have held a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences since 2021. In 2018, I was admitted to medical school, a very difficult first year covering mathematics, physics, organic chemistry and biology at a very high level of selection, but I decided instead to do EPFL with hindsight on my situation. I have been giving private lessons since 2018, mainly to high school students, in math and physics. I also have direct experience preparing under pressure for highly selective exams — I know what it's like to have only one chance for a decisive result. Several of my students have ADHD. I systematically adapt the pace, format, and materials to the individual in front of me. PRACTICAL DETAILS! PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: Maximum availability in July, August and September 2026 — fully flexible schedule during the summer. Home visits are possible from Morges to Pully (variable rate, no car). Lessons are also available at the Rolex Learning Center, the EPFL library (fixed rate). Feel free to contact me to arrange an initial appointment or ask any questions.

CONTENTS : This course is aimed at university students, in the field of mathematics. This course is also suitable for students at EPFL as well as students of mathematics and physics), but also for faculties of economics (except economic mathematics), or medicine for example. The goal is simple: to help you understand by yourself and acquire an intuition of the desired mathematical concepts, as well as the resolution of the exercises. The courses cover a number of subjects. The student chooses the desired branch (the choices are listed below (*). Additional drills can be provided upon request. (*)The topics covered in this course are: -Analysis I, Advanced Analysis I [one-variable real analysis, integration, etc...] -Analysis II, Advanced Analysis II [real multivariate analysis, integration, differential equations, etc...] -Linear Algebra I [linear maps, matrices, determinants, diagonalization (AL2), etc...] -Advanced Linear Algebra I [AL1, dual spaces, multilinear forms, groups, rings, fields, etc...] -Advanced Linear Algebra II [Gram-Schmidt, Orthogonality, Sylvester, SVD, QR, MSA, Jordan, SEDL, Hermite, Smith] -Algebraic structures [Basic logic, sets, equivalence relations, classes, quotients, groups, etc...] -Discrete mathematics [combinatorics, generating functions, basis of graph theory, probabilistic approach] Note: For more information regarding the contents of the topics, we can discuss. The courses are flexible. SIZE: The course can be given face-to-face in the Lausanne region (preferably Renens / Ecublens) or Geneva (preferably center) depending on my travel availability (this is to be agreed by message with me directly, this option only appears by default in my schedules available below). Otherwise, the course is generally given by Zoom with screen sharing where I generally write by hand). The notes during the course are sent to the student after the course is completed in PDF format. For more availability, please contact me. The courses are based on my experience (EPFL, mathematics section). Hoping to be able to help you.

Maths — orientation cycle and maturity — preparation for high school, year-long support · onlineTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Maths — orientation cycle and maturity — preparation for high school, year-long support · onlineTranslate this text using Google Translate.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 💻 Videoconference courses, from the orientation cycle to the final year of high school. There's a phrase I hear in almost every first session: "In class I understand, but when I'm faced with the worksheet I don't know where to start." It's not a question of academic level. It's that no one has ever taught students to recognize the type of problem they're facing. One function exercise looks like another, but the method isn't the same—and until this sorting happens automatically, each exercise starts from scratch. This sorting is what I work on first, even before reviewing the lesson. 🎓 I hold a Master's degree in Operations Research (applied mathematics) and have been tutoring mathematics for 5 years. I have worked with numerous students in the Swiss system, as well as in French, Belgian, and international programs. 📚 What I cover, canton by canton The vocabulary varies from one canton to another, so let's be precise: ✏Geneva and Fribourg — orientation cycle (grades 9 to 11 HarmoS), preparation for entry into secondary school, then the four years of secondary school up to graduation ✏Vaud — pre-gymnasium and general tracks, preparation for the ECR exams, transition to gymnasium, then the three years of gymnasium ✏Neuchâtel — cycle 3, then high school ✏Valais — orientation cycle, then college Preparation for the Matura exam, all specific options 🔍 How I work 1️⃣ The first sessions are mainly aimed at assessing the level of the student in order to identify the shortcomings observed. 2️⃣ Then we make a plan to fill those gaps: number of hours of work needed, parts of the lessons to focus on, lots of training and development exercises, etc. 3️⃣ We make sure to stay in regular contact with the student's class teacher to monitor their progress and align our work with what is being taught in class. 4️⃣ Then I provide exams similar to what may be offered in class. 5️⃣ Upon request, I write a monthly report to keep parents informed of their child's level throughout the course. ✨ Why this profession My favorite moment is when a student starts explaining their approach aloud without me having asked anything. It means they're no longer trying to guess what I expect—they're thinking. The rest always follows. 🗣️ Lessons in French or English. Response within the day.

Maths Teacher | Improve Grades and Progress | Middle & High School | 15 Years of ExperienceTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Maths Teacher | Improve Grades and Progress | Middle & High School | 15 Years of ExperienceTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Does your child understand mathematics, but their results don't reflect their effort? He gets average grades despite his hard work? He understands the lesson but loses points in the exercises? Is he lacking in method, precision, or confidence? Does he want to move to a higher level and achieve better results? I can help him identify what is causing him to lose points and to implement a more effective work method. I am a mathematics teacher with 15 years of teaching experience and hold a Master's degree in mathematics. I tutor middle and high school students, particularly in the French and Moroccan curricula. 🎯 UNDERSTANDING WHY GRADES ARE NOT IMPROVING Two students with the same grade can have completely different difficulties. One may lack basic knowledge. The other person may understand the lesson but not know how to solve the exercises. Another person may have the necessary knowledge but lose many points due to errors in calculation, reasoning, or writing. That is why I begin by identifying the difficulties that are actually limiting the student's progress. 📈 HOW TO IMPROVE RESULTS? We are working specifically on: • a thorough understanding of the course; • mastery of fundamental concepts; • the solution method; • the analysis of the statements; • mathematical reasoning; • calculation and logic errors; • drafting the solutions; • exercises of progressive difficulty; • time management during checks; • autonomy in the face of exercises. The goal is not to do dozens of exercises without a method. We seek to understand the errors, correct bad habits and gradually build effective automatic processes. 🧠 A METHOD TO BECOME MORE INDEPENDENT During the sessions, I am not simply trying to provide the solution. I guide the student so that they gradually learn to: Understand → Analyze → Choose a method → Solve → Verify This approach allows the student to better manage exercises when working alone. The goal is for him to need less and less help over time. 📚 FOR STUDENTS WHO WANT TO IMPROVE This support can be particularly useful for a student who: • wants to improve his grades; • wants to consolidate his knowledge; • aims for better results in controls; • wants to get ahead of the program; • prepares for an important year; • wants to gradually prepare for the Brevet or the Baccalaureate; • understands the concepts but lacks effectiveness in exercises. I adapt the exercises and the pace of work to the actual level of each student. 💻 INTERACTIVE ONLINE COURSES The classes are held remotely using Google Meet and an interactive whiteboard. The student actively participates throughout the session: he searches, answers questions, completes exercises and explains his reasoning. I can also send screenshots of the work done during the session so that the student can review the important concepts after the lesson. 🏆 15 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE With 15 years of experience in teaching mathematics, I have supported students with very different levels, objectives and difficulties. For my final year students who were tutored in mathematics, I achieved a 100% success rate in the Baccalaureate, with 75% obtaining a distinction of "Bien" or "Très Bien". My goal is to use this experience to provide personalized and practical support. 👨‍🎓 LEVELS • College • 5th • 4th • 3rd • High school • Second • First • Final year • French and Moroccan programs 📩 DO YOU WANT YOUR CHILD TO PROGRESS? In your message, simply tell me: • its level; • his current average in mathematics; • the difficulties he encounters; • its objective. This will allow me to better understand his situation and determine the points to work on as a priority. My goal is simple: to help the student better understand mathematics, correct their mistakes, improve their methods and make lasting progress.

Baia was instrumental in helping my daughter prepare for the OMPT-F exam. From the very first lesson, she was organized, knowledgeable, and focused on the areas that mattered most for success on the test. What sets Baia apart is her ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in a simple, structured way while building confidence at the same time. Her engineering background gives her a deep understanding of mathematics and allows her to explain not only how to solve problems, but also why the concepts work. She provided targeted practice materials, mock exams, and clear guidance on the key topics that carried the highest impact. Baia was always responsive to questions between lessons and consistently went above and beyond to ensure my daughter was fully prepared. Thanks to her support, my daughter developed a much stronger understanding of mathematics and a more positive attitude toward the subject. She now approaches challenging problems with far more confidence than before. I highly recommend Baia to anyone preparing for the OMPT exams, university mathematics, or looking for a patient, knowledgeable, and highly effective math tutor.

Mouad is a fantastic teacher. He has a very professional approach to what he is doing. He knows how to work with younger students. He can quickly position student's knowledge and has the flexibility to follow the required curriculum. He also knows how to build the confidence of the student himself what is extremely important in case of students who had bad experience with the subject in the past. Mouad communicates fluently in French and English. He is always on time and well prepared for classes. He also gives feedback after the lessons. We will definately continue classes with him. My son is making good progress in Mathematics while working with Mouad.

Ghous is a very kind and pleasant teacher. He explains everything clearly and is always responsive and supportive. He adapts to the student’s pace and is very flexible when it comes to scheduling and learning preferences. He has a strong command of Electrical Engineering topics and is able to explain even complex concepts in a simple and understandable way. Ghous is also very helpful with assignments, even when they are in a different language, which shows both his deep subject knowledge and his adaptability. I’m very satisfied with his lessons and would definitely recommend him to others.
