About Me

I am Mavi, a physics engineer working at the Aerospace Company. I have been teaching private lessons at primary, secondary, high school and university preparatory levels for 9 years. I also teach mathematics, physics, chemistry and science. I have good command of IB, IGCSE, USA, Hong Kong and international schools curriculum. I can give a reference. I was the president of Hacettepe University Astronomy Society, I increase my students' interest by telling about astronomy and science issues outside of the lesson, so I also prepare the learning environment by experimenting and exploring, away from rote education. Most of the time, I bring experimental materials with me in classes and I aim to learn memorable by doing experiments together. I am also a training coach. To facilitate digitised learning in online tutoring, I supplement Wacom Intuos tablet, the Microsoft Whiteboard and screen sharing options, so that student(s) get the similar feel of a live classroom.
While tutoring, I am used to demonstrate relevance of topics in Mathematics, using specific examples from and within the area of application, use data and visual tools such as graphs and then through algebraic manipulation, so that students can feel leaning Mathematics, a lively experience instead of devolving the feel of something mechanical, in nature. Students are advised to practice, visualize similar examples and give feedback if they face any difficulty in understanding the subject.
Seminars and computer lab sessions are supplemented by use of digitized learning tools such as databases and packages namely Maple, Win QSB and Matlab.

We will take up together the exercises and concepts on which you are currently working in class. A question crosses your mind, ask it.
