Art Portfolio & Creative Mentoring — Art School, MFA, Residencies & Professional PracticeTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Are you developing an art portfolio, preparing an application, or trying to understand where to take your artistic practice next? I am a professional visual artist with more than 30 years of international experience in exhibitions, residencies, research and teaching. I offer individual mentoring for students, emerging artists and established practitioners who want to develop a stronger, more coherent and personal body of work. Sessions can focus on portfolio development, selecting and editing work, developing concepts, identifying recurring interests, strengthening your artistic voice, researching references, writing about your work and preparing applications for art schools, BA/BFA and MFA programmes, residencies, grants, exhibitions and other professional opportunities. We can also work together if you feel stuck, disconnected from your practice or unsure how to move from isolated works or ideas toward a meaningful body of work. My approach combines close discussion of your work with contemporary art, art history, critical references and practical strategies. I do not impose a particular style or aesthetic. The aim is to help you understand what is already distinctive in your work and develop it with greater clarity, depth and confidence. Mentoring is available in English or Portuguese and is adapted to your individual goals and stage of development.

painting your muse in the nude - paint your lover nakedTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Undergo with your love, muse, partner, or all of these at once, a romantic course of painting a nude. One of you will give up their clothes for a morning, afternoon or evening, whilst the other paints them in the style of a famous nude portrait of their choice, (like Venus of Urbino - 1585 by Titian). Hosted by Artists and art historians Tonny and Janne Igbuwe. They will take you on a sensory journey through history, intimacy and artistry. You'll be invited into the Artist's studio (decorated like the chosen painting to the best of our ability) where you'll be received with a drink and a small appetizer. During the workshop, you will not only learn about painting techniques and portraiture, but we'll also explain the history behind the painting you'll be recreating. A spectacularly romantic experience to never forget. Location: Jan Zijvertstraat, Geuzenveld, Amsterdam. The workshop lasts for about 2 hours. paint your muse naked (For English above) Take a romantic nude painting course with your love, muse, partner or all of these at once. School support and English courses, Art History, French etc. by Graduated in English and Art History at the University of GenevaTranslate this text using Google Translate.

The form of the lessons adapts to the specific requests, needs and problems of the student. It may include one or more of the following: - help with homework - proofreading/corrections of written work - revisions for exams, essays, courses - help with presentations, talks etc. - learning English through exercises and/or conversations I also generally help with: - organization of a work / review plan, with creation of a calendar, division of labor etc. - memorization: different techniques and advice - the methodology: how to be efficient in your work and in your reading, how to take good notes etc. - concentration and stress management - general advice My studies at university allow me to have access to rare and useful resources for learning English, which can enrich the courses. They also helped me to be more efficient in researching and citing useful sources for courses, dissertations, presentations etc. Lessons can be given at the student's home, in a municipal library, in a UNIGE building, or by webcam (for example via Jitsi, which is free, practical, and has always worked well with my students).

Gemma was a wonderful teacher. Her and I walked around Florence while she was simultaneously teaching me Italian. Her easy going and positive attitude made learning fun while also being very substantial. Gemma is super patient, and after the second day I could construct longer, more complicated sentences. I had mentioned some struggles I have had within schooling where I struggled with pronouns and prepositions, and by the first day I could do it easy no problem due to her explanations being very good. Overall I Gemma is a very good tutor and I highly recommend her.

My 16 year old decided to pursue a career at n fashion and art early on We found Emer and she was exactly what we were looking for and more when Theo applied for fashion Academies Her first extensive background and calm and friendly approach brought out the best in my 16 year old son Together they created an original portfolio crammed with original and artistic work Enthusiast and patient I have no reservations recommending Emer for any art driven personal or group learning sessions My sons testimony says it all She is simply amazing

My class with Ilya was great. Ilya was friendly, very knowledgeable, encouraging and completely flexible to my needs and goals. It was fun to project plan with him for the long-term, and talk about styles and art history. If you're looking for both an experienced, knowledgeable and easy-going teacher, I would absolutely recommend Ilya!
