Trusted teacher: Online | In Person (studio in central London) Having its foundation on the Stanislavski System and the Actioning Technique, these classes were designed to help you build a resourceful, more effective, and creative relationship with the script. The aim is to enable you to develop an insightful way of working with the script by creating an analytical eye to collect the information you need to build the character under the circumstances of the story. The work involves analysing and practicing different types of scripts, through in depth script analysis, script breakdown, scene structure, actioning, character study and development, active analysis and improvisation. The classes are offered in two different formats: ongoing and private. 1) ONGOING GROUP CLASSES: Mondays from 6pm to 7:30pm (ONLINE | London time) 2) PRIVATE SESSIONS – Online | In Person (London) The private sessions are personalised and designed for your own specific needs. My aim is to help you achieve your goals through collaborative working. I will guide, support and work with you throughout your journey offering mentoring and professional training through the sessions. a) Scene Study and Script Analysis: Having the same foundation as the ongoing classes, these private sessions will help you understand and connect with the script in a personal and insightful way to create a truthful and unique character. b) Mentoring for Actors: Starting out your career? Wanting to take your career to the next level? Thinking about moving agents? Not sure how to contact a Casting Director? Unsure of how to self-tape? These sessions will support and guide you through your acting career to help you navigate and move forward in the industry in whatever stage you are at. c) Audition Preparation: Private sessions designed to help you in your audition process, giving you the tools you need to be more confident when making decisions through your character’s point of view. d) Role Preparation: Acting coaching sessions designed for professional actors who are preparing for an acting job and need help developing the character and connecting with the script. e) Drama School Preparation: Prep sessions designed to help you through your journey when auditioning/applying for a drama school, BTEC ( performing arts), foundation in acting programme.

Hi there, I'm Kim! I hope you’re well! Thanks for dropping by. About the course: I'm here to share all I've learned with students of all skill levels and age groups. As with many things, the best way to learn is to do. I will therefore take you through the entire professional process of designing a character for an animated project - from the fundamentals of anatomy drawing, to the initial research stage to iteration sketches, all the way through to the final model sheets! By the end, you will have created a memorable character that is unique, full of appeal, exuding personality, and ready to be animated. And you will have gained a valuable insight into the weird and wonderful world of professional character design. --------------------------------- About me: I am a professional character designer and illustrator from Australia, currently based in London, UK. In 2019, I graduated with the Bachelor of Design in Animation with First Class Honours from the University of Technology, Sydney. Since graduating, I have had the privilege of working as a character designer and animator on the Netflix animated series, ‘Adventure Beast,’ enjoyed a design internship with Cheeky Little Media, and have also had the pleasure of illustrating several children's picture books for Playtime Books. These days, I am designing characters for Hey Daisy Moon, and have been tutoring character design, cartooning, and general drawing skills to students of all ages since 2021. If you have a passion for bringing exciting characters to life, or just want to improve your drawing skills, I would love to help you achieve your goals! In any case, I wish you a wonderful day. Kim

I have been involved in art for twenty years. I started out painting and selling both oils and watercolours. This developed to become, for a while, the main source of our household income. I managed to have solo exhibitions in Devon and Kent in the UK, as well as USA, Japan and, when I lived in France, several there too. When I returned from France, I started my academic studies in Fine Art Sheffield Hallam and Leeds Arts University where I receive a BA and MA in fine art. I have great interest in the theory of fine art, such as composition, perspective, colour theory; the technology of fine art in understanding materials used and techniques applied. The theories of doing that allow successful expression. As well as purely fine art theory, this allows me to bring in psychology and other scientific thought, not to usurp fine are theory, but to bolster it both to confirm existing theories as well as opening out possible avenues for discovering new ones. In painting I see myself as impressionist but recently have moved more towards realism to better communicate with internet viewer. This is because, when a piece is photographed, people cannot see complexity of the brush strokes used. I like to paint genre where complicated compositions and intellectual work is involved but I also do portraits, still life and landscape. In sculpture I use mostly archaic composition, as exemplified by Henry Moore and Aristide Maillol. I really enjoy sharing my love of art with other. I believe everybody can express themselves through art (and probably should) and I love being a catalyst to make that happen. I do not use restrictive instruction where I tell students what they must do, but help them develop themselves - help them to discover their own way while sharing helpful insights from my own practice and wide knowledge of fine art practice and theory.
