Belly dance was birthed to honour and alleviate childbirth and period pains, so is deeply rooted in the divine feminine. An energy so essential for the world and its life force. In this Raqs Sharqi (Belly Dance) class we focus on awakening feminine energy through fluid movements, hip release and expressive choreography. You will explore a wide variety of hip techniques: from circles and figure eights to shimmies and drops while also working on posture, facial expression and presence. We will learn how different styles are danced, such as drum solos (tabla), darbuka drums which are performed without veil, as well as more lyrical pieces where the veil becomes part of the performance. Attention is given to musicality, cultural context and dress codes for each style, ensuring a balance between technique, creativity and self-expression. This class is both a journey into movement and a space to connect with your inner strength and sensuality. This Contemporary Dance class is a beginner-friendly space for self-expression and creativity. With a focus on emotional support and zero judgement, we explore movement through flexibility, flow and improvisation. Oriental dance is a dance of Egyptian origin, which includes many styles. Originally, it was a spontaneous and improvised dance, but today it is taught academically all over the world. It is traditionally practiced by women, who express by this art their femininity, their vitality, but also their feelings, joys and sorrows. In general, this dance is characterized by the dissociation of the parts of the body (isolations) that can move independently of one another. Oriental dance is as good with jerky rhythms as slow and fluid. Bellydance is not limited to movements of the pelvis: it solicits flexibility and tonicity of the bust, shoulders, arms, hands, pelvis and belly. It helps tone the thighs, relax the joints, develop the abdominals and maintain the back. Most of the work resides in the muscular contraction, this dance can be practiced at any age, in the respect of the limits of each dancer or dancer. The course begins with a joint and muscle warm-up, followed by technical work. The basic movements are then integrated into sequences that allow you to move in space and experience the pleasure of dancing, before ending with a session of relaxation.

For beginners, I give lessons to feel comfortable at family parties, weddings, henna parties, or to dance for pleasure in rhythm. For advanced and professional dancers, I offer advanced training courses, create custom choreographies adapted for you to perform at competitions, open stages, public or private events (parties, corporate galas, etc.). The Tribal Fusion class is a blend of belly dance with flamenco, Indian dance, and hip hop. It's best suited for those with a background in belly dance or other urban or Indian dance styles.

I specialize in training belly dance, I have certified by USA teacher Sadie Marquardt in her Raqs Class and also getting trained from France teacher Anasma in contemporary and belly dance fusion. I am practising belly dance from last 4 years and can train beginner module. I will love to take this form to dancers or non-dancers, important is a will to dance, A dancer will not just learn techniques but also will understand this elegant form and get confidence in their dance style. I will be teaching hip isolations, chest isolations, drills, belly dance choreography and important terms used in belly dance world.
