Trusted teacher: I am a qualified engineer from Arts et Métiers ParisTech and followed a preparatory class, accumulating more than 10 years of experience as a private mathematics teacher. My goal is to help your child reach their full academic potential in mathematics and develop skills that will prepare them for a bright future. Why choose my courses? Would you like your child to: Significantly improve your results in mathematics/physics-chemistry? Join a selective curriculum? Become independent and confident in your abilities? Over the last 5 years, I have had the privilege of supporting more than 30 French students, from middle school (sixth, fifth, fourth, third) to high school (second, first, terminale), towards academic success. My students obtained good averages, passed the certificate, the baccalaureate and the preparatory classes, while strengthening their self-confidence. My teaching method in 3 steps: Short term: Immediate improvement in average by assimilating the course and preparing for assessments. This includes assimilating the course, taking notes, practicing standard exercises, anticipating teachers' expectations and test questions, as well as acquiring writing methods. Medium term: Integration of reasoning and working methods. Your child will learn to work regularly in this order: assimilation, training exercises, preparation for assessments and analysis of results. Long term: Establishing clear goals, building the steps to achieve them, realizing the SIMPLICITY of mathematics, building confidence in your abilities and unlocking your child's potential. Details of the formula: One to two sessions of 1h30/2h per week to assimilate the course and prepare for the evaluations. Classes delivered via Google Meet for effective online learning. Use of a virtual whiteboard to facilitate the assimilation of concepts. Access to an online library including 10 mathematics reference books. Over 1000 online exercises to strengthen math skills. Biology can be a daunting subject, and one that children often struggle with due to experiencing challenges in grasping key scientific concepts. In this class, we prioritise striking a balance between theory and practical learning, to construct a balanced approach to education. We encourage students to utilise their inquisitive nature by questioning the world around them and conducting supervised experiments in order to make observations and learn from them. This boosts the memory of the learner due to being a form of active learning, and furthers the students desire to learn. As well as this, we use textbooks and other learning resources to learn the key facts and principles biology. Once students have a solid understanding of these principles, we guide them through exam style questions(tailored to their syllabus)in order to boost their problem solving abilities. This allows them to approach questions with a systematic, methodical and logical approach, enabling them to fully apply the relevant knowledge in a concise way to answer the question posed. Whether you are preparing for SATS, or on a quest for knowledge, we can discuss a plan tailored to your requirements. I also provide frequent progress reports and set homework tasks. Overall, we construct fun and engaging lessons that set up students with key skills such as a logical approach to problem solving, which is required for higher education in every subject. Each of our lessons take place in a comfortable environment in which students can feel confident to speak their minds.

Are you struggling to keep up with your Biology content? Do you find it hard to understand complex biological concepts and theories? Look no further! I am here to help you achieve your academic goals and excel in biology. I am a highly qualified and experienced secondary science teacher who has a passion for teaching and a deep understanding of biology. I am well-versed in all aspects of biology, from cellular and molecular biology to ecology and evolution, and can explain difficult concepts in a clear and concise manner. I have 5 years of teaching all three secondary science subjects in KS3 and KS4, as well as 4 years of Biology A-level. Whether you need help with homework assignments, exam preparation, or just want to deepen your understanding of biology, I can provide personalised, one-on-one guidance and support. I will work with you to identify your strengths and weaknesses, and tailor their approach to your individual learning style and pace. I can use a variety of teaching methods and resources, such as interactive simulations, videos, and diagrams, to make the learning experience engaging and enjoyable. I am also patient, friendly, and approachable, and will create a supportive and encouraging learning environment. Most of the lessons will follow this structure; 1. An Introduction, explaining the concept and its importance. 2. Inquiry-based activity: This could be a work sheet, mind map or data. 3. Experimentation: Should there be an experiment linked, we will explore its importance. 4. Data analysis: Once the experiments are completed, we will then analyse the data and make graphs or tables to show their results. We will have a discussion on the patterns and trends observed, and ask my student to explain the underlying biological mechanisms. 5. Concept mapping: To consolidate their understanding we will create a concept map or a mind map that summarises the main concepts and relationships involved in the process. 6. Closure: To wrap up the lesson, I will pose some open-ended questions to stimulate further reflection and inquiry. Then, finish with some exam style questions. By following these steps, I can create a student-centred, inquiry-based learning experience that combines hands-on experimentation, data analysis, and concept mapping with collaborative and reflective learning. This type of lesson can help the students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as a deeper understanding of the complex and fascinating world of biology.

I am a UCL Biological Sciences student seeking to offer a highly personalised tutoring experience that caters to my students' needs. I currently teach from Year 7 upwards with a speciality in exam preparation. I teach Geography, RS, Physics, and English from Years 7-11, and Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry from Years 7-13. I aim to understand my tutees' unique concerns and explain concepts simply with many alternative approaches. As someone who has experienced obstacles to my own learning, I have a lot of empathy for students struggling with their learning, particularly those with learning differences and endeavour to develop an approach that works for them. I was a strong student in secondary school (Queen’s College, London) achieving A*s and As (and equivalents) at GCSE and three As at A-Level in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Particularly of note, I received a 9 in GCSE Mathematics, 98% in GCSE Religious Studies, and was awarded a sixth-form academic scholarship. I am an experienced tutor - I participated in a tutoring scheme in secondary school which allowed students from Year 7 to Year 12 to ask any questions they might be struggling with in any subject they wished. This allowed me to continue to engage with my GCSE content during my A-Level years and taught me how to listen to and understand the particular needs of each student at a given moment. I also tutored family and friends of family, allowing me to engage personally with my students and develop a specialised teaching approach. I offer one hour and two hour sessions and am free on weekends, after 5pm, and whenever my university timetable permits. I am generally free at all times outside of university term time.

Mounir
Mounir has been tutoring my daughter for a few months (French syllabus, 3eme - Brevet level). She loves the lessons and looks forward to their weekly Zoom meeting. Mounir easily builds a good rapport with his students and makes lessons interesting and fun, building confidence along the way. He is methodical and organised in his approach and makes sure to go over any aspects of the lessons which may have been less well covered in class, leaving the student with a solid grasp of the entire syllabus. He also recommended alternative revision cards and exercise books with corrections which my daughter finds much more user friendly than the ones provided at her school. Overall a very satisfactory experience and we would recommend Mounir without hesitation to anyone looking for an excellent maths tutor.
