Do you want to learn to sing, improve your vocal skills, gain confidence, or simply sing for pleasure? I will guide you through your learning in a supportive, motivating environment tailored to your level. I offer lessons at my home in Saint-Bonnet-de-Mure for beginners and intermediate students, children, teenagers and adults. Since every student is different, I adapt to your goals, desires, and pace. Whether you want to work on your vocal technique, prepare for a specific project, or simply improve your singing, we will structure the sessions around your needs. 🎶 Course Structure Each session begins gradually with a physical warm-up, grounding exercises, breathing and relaxation to prepare the body and voice. We then continue with vocal exercises accompanied by piano, before moving on to practice with a song chosen together, according to your tastes and goals. The work may include: access to high and low notes, breath control and breathing, pitch accuracy, power and placement of the voice, rhythm, interpretation, articulation, posture and stage presence, stress management and singing in a foreign language. The goal is to work on both the areas for improvement and the qualities already present in order to build a more controlled voice and a more personal interpretation. I can also assist you in preparing for castings, competitions, auditions or concerts. During the lessons, you will have the opportunity to sing into the microphone in order to familiarize yourself with this tool and with the conditions of a stage performance. As I am also a pianist, I can accompany you directly on the piano while you sing. If you wish, I can also teach you how to easily accompany yourself on the piano while singing. I particularly like to record my students' final productions: it allows me to keep a record of their work and to see their progress over time. My goal is for each student to progress while enjoying singing. No prior singing experience is necessary: lessons are tailored to each individual's level. Welcome to my online Piano Class. I am Maria Papadatou, and I will happily help you achieve your musical goals, from zero to the top. Also, I'll help you understand and approach each composers' unique style, and secure your concert / stage presence, with simple and effective solutions for memorisation and control. I am a very proud piano teacher too, as, except all other distinctions, on Jan 11 2026 four young students of mine were awarded and invited to performed at the winners Gala at the Carnegie Hall in New York City! They also participated to the Juilliard School festival, with masterclass and lessons, a fabulous chance and experience that I wish all young pianists could have! I am a professional violinist and chamber musician with a Konzertexamen in Violin Performance and Chamber Music from the University of Trossingen (Germany). I also hold a Master’s degree in Chamber Music from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW) and am currently studying Viola at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK). Alongside my academic training, I am active as an orchestral musician and regularly perform with the ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien. My performing experience helps me guide students not only technically, but also musically and artistically. With my international performing and academic experience, I aim to help students build strong technical foundations, develop musical expression, and gain confidence in performance. I teach cello to students of all ages and levels: from complete beginners to those preparing for conservatory auditions. My goal is to build your technique and musicality together, step by step, so that you're always challenged but never overwhelmed. A typical lesson works on a mix of technique (posture, bow control, tone production), repertoire suited to your level and taste, and — if you want it — music theory and sight-reading. I'll set clear short-term goals with you each lesson and check in regularly on your progress, so you always know what you're working toward and why. I have experience teaching students with dyslexia and ADHD, and I adjust my pacing and explanations so lessons stay clear and comfortable rather than stressful. If you're an absolute beginner, don't worry — I've taught people who've never held a cello before, and we start exactly where you are. A bit about my background: I hold a Master of Music from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where I studied under Ella van Poucke, and I graduated cum laude from the Conservatory and University of Thessaloniki. With my quartet, I won First Prize and the Young Jury Prize at the Storioni Festival Competition 2026, and I've performed at venues including Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Muziekgebouw Amsterdam, and Muziekgebouw Eindhoven.
