Certified teacher to teach the Modern Singer Technique (TCM).
I give TCM singing lessons and Jazz / Scat courses, online by Skype, and face to face in Nantes.
I also work at home in the 44 for intensive (minimum 3 hours), and external services (vocal coaching on your rehearsals, residences, studio recording, for institutions ...)

What can classes bring you?

TCM course: An effective vocal technique, more ease in highs, more power, more vocal effects, appropriate aesthetic options, varied vocal colors, good vocal health, interpretation tools, ... The course is adapted, in any case, according to your technical and artistic needs so that you can advance and progress, the exercises are personalized.

Jazz/Scat course: Learn the Jazz repertoire, the phrasing that goes with this style, learn to improvise, to scatter (around a standard jazz repertoire, with harmonic support, freely (free improvisation), by developing vocal effects (examples: glissandos, vibrato...) that can be found in jazz... I adapt and find the necessary tools to allow you to go further starting from where you are.

Numerous articles about singing, voice, jazz and scat are also published on the site.

For any information, do not hesitate to write to me,

About Me
Certified singing teacher to teach Modern Singer Technique (TCM) since September 2011, I give individual lessons of TCM singing and Jazz / Scat singing, face-to-face in STUDIO in Nantes, Bouguenais, Blain, and online by Skype.

I also give collective singing workshops in Nantes and Bouguenais: Sound Phonation / Vocal Technique, Vocal Jazz, Vocal Aesthetics, Scat and Vocal Improvisation. These different workshops allow to acquire several notions to apply on the voice.

Passionate about voice technique, voice and pedagogy, I trained as a singer and TCM teacher with Allan Wright from 2008 to 2011. And, I stay up to date on the latest developments and discoveries of the TCM.

Since 2004, I teach in territorial and associative institutions of music education in Loire-Atlantique. I teach singing and vocal technique individually or in small groups, teach scat and improvisation to singers and instrumentalists, and coach collective practice workshops (around current music and jazz: group workshop with several instruments - voice, soloists and rhythmic instruments / vocal workshop - songs in polyphony).

During my training, I followed several jazz workshops: singing with Laurence Saltiel, Patricia Ouvrard; in jazz and improvisation workshops with Andy Emler, Eric Seva; flute with Denis Barbier and Magic Malik ... I also trained at the jazz school "Arpej" in Paris with Michel Goldberg on improvisation techniques, Claudia Solal in vocal technique and scat / vocal improvisation, Caroline Faber and Hildegarde Wanzlawe in jazz vocal workshops, Gilles Grignon in jazz workshop ...

In 2007, I obtained a Diploma of Jazz Musical Studies (DEM) in Vocals and Flute which punctuates a traditional 17 year course in conservatory of music (including obtaining the DEM in classical flute in 2007, 10 years of practice lyric singing, jazz workshops ...).

I perform in concerts as a singer in various jazz and contemporary music groups, for fifteen years (Festival "Rendez-vous de l'Erdre" in Nantes on the jazz talent scene in Loire-Atlantique, Festival "The blue suns" in Saint-Herblain on the discovery stage, Mezzanine Concert at the VIP in Saint-Nazaire, Jazz Festival OFF La Baule, ... Concerts events: cocktails, private parties, casinos ... in the past several scenes and springboards with a group of Funk / Jazz: Festival "Renc'arts" in Pornichet, Festival "H2O", Springboard "Move your city" which scene "The Olympic" in Nantes ...).

After receiving the ASEA Civil Service Competition in 2011, I am now a Territorial Public Service Specialized Arts Education Assistant (singing and current music / jazz collective practice workshops). My activities assure me a weekly teaching practice.

I released a 1st jazz / soul album, under my name, in solo (voice and piano) at the end of 2013: "Before and After" (always available).

If you have questions about my classes, do not hesitate to contact me.

Hello,

I am a specialized composer guitarist (classical, folk dreadnote, electric bodies and jazz) and guitar teacher in Nantes and around (St Nazaire).

Course location: At home or at the student's place (to be assessed together).

I am a self-taught musician with more than 25 years of experience (national and various scenes as well as studio guitarist). This course adapts to the demand to the extent of the student's involvement (all levels).

- Approach and installation of pieces of the student's choice (International variety, folk, rock, jazz ...).

- Installation of rock or Blues riffs.

- Method of learning the neck: Octaves/ The major scale applied to 15 tones by succession of ascending fourths and descending fifths or cycle of fifths/ complete cycle of the order of flats and sharps.

- Work on scales: Pentatonic, Arpeggios (intervals)/modes, scales with limited transpositions (chromatic, unitonic, symmetrical).

- Work with metronome (different uses) = for non-beginner students.

- Introduction to music theory and development.

- Initiation and work on classical works (ancient and contemporary music).

- Discovery of Jazz and contemporary standards.

- Work in classic position with “Ergoplay” (recommended).

I am particularly attached to trying to untie what prevents the student from playing or developing. I am therefore used to preparing my lessons with personal work on the elevation of the state of life so as to be able to encompass that of the student and open together new capacities or perspectives of reciprocal listening. The development of the ear goes through a certain personal introspection that I try to awaken. In conclusion, what matters most to me is that the student leaves the course happier than at the beginning. Making you want to, targeted personal encouragement... Creation of values = development :)

Hello to you who came across my profile :)

My name is Nathalie and I am a singing teacher, studio singer and artist.

It's never easy to sing in front of someone, that's why I will accompany you with gentleness and kindness so that you can gain confidence in your voice and understand it. :)

My teaching methods used are: Estill Voice Training – Complete Vocal Technique – Primal Sounds – Speech Level Singing. These are new and innovative teaching methods in France that are based on the science and anatomy of the vocal apparatus.

My courses are generally divided into three parts:

- During the 'stretching/movement' part, you can take the time to relax each part of the body that may be experiencing tension (jaw, tongue, neck muscles, larynx, shoulders, back, legs, etc.). These massages, stretches and movements will also allow you to anchor yourself in the present so that you can sing freely afterwards. Then, we will work together on your breathing and breath support with fun exercises adapted to your level.

- During the vocal warm-up, first, I will show you closed-mouth exercises to gently awaken your voice (SOVT technique). Secondly, you will be able to work with me on the different vocal registers (low/chest voice – M1, head voice/high voice – M2). We will also work on the different vocal placements (belting, mixed voice, falsetto, 'cry'/curbing, primary sounds) as well as the opening of the resonators (oral, nasal, pharyngeal cavity) to explore your timbre. We will also explore the use of various effects (twang, audible air, vocal flip, vibrato, etc.) to color your voice. The anatomy of each technique will be rigorously explained so as not to cause vocal injuries.

- Finally, we will work together on a song, and we will unleash the potential of your voice, your emotions and your artistic expression on it! Indeed, I give an important place in my classes to the expression of emotions, to letting go and to artistic and scenic identity beyond the purely technical aspect of the voice. I believe that vocal technique is simply the palette of colors that you can use to paint your own musical picture.

I can't wait to meet you to start our lessons! :)

Sincerely,
Natalie
