* Bollywood dance is the most popular and fun form of dancing originating from India. * This dance is inspired from various traditional Indian classical dances like kathak, Bharatnatyam, bhangra, garba etc which are adapted to the music currently used in the Hindi film industry also known as Bollywood. * My class will be developed based on your personal level , comfort and style in preference with your choice of music to learn , grow and build the basics of this dance . To me dancing is all about expressing yourself so while learning it’s important that you have lots of fun at the same time. Hence, I combine a variant of different easy , quick, slow dance moves , music , styles and sometimes even (jokes) while dancing. No experience in dance before ? You think you like it but can’t do it ? You like to watch others do it ? Well, it doesn’t matter if you have any experience in any kind of dancing or not , one thing is for sure you will learn and grove and dance for sure! I specialise in teaching Bharathanatyam, an Indian Classical Dance. It is catered to students from the age of 4 to adults, no age restriction, as long they are interested and willing to learn. This class is for aspiring Indian classical dancers. My goal is to keep the class as engaging and interesting as possible and to share the knowledge of dance to the students. Each class would be one hour. It is conducted at Amstelveen Shiva Yoga studio on Friday evenings.

📌It doesn't always take two for things to work... To begin to connect, assimilate and experiment with new KNOWLEDGE, the most IMPORTANT thing is the body, the attitude, perseverance and a great pinch of confidence! I always like to approach the codes of different dance disciplines, based on structures that work on the physical, rhythmic, and creative aspects. There is an idea that Tango is difficult to learn, and of course if we approach it with that label, it will be that way. Starting from the main concept of tango, WALKING, something that we all do most of the time, dancing tTANGO is within everyone's reach.🤗 Another very important point is the way to assimilate and understand it 😉😅 ❤️‍🔥What will the classes be like, you ask? I'll tell you a little bit, we are going to develop the structure in the work of weight changes, the step, projection of the walk, the pivot, understanding the kinesphere individually and as a couple translated into the hug, the turns and the spiral torso to understand the momentum in various exercises, the eights so famous in tango, the basic step and universal exit, walks with the concept of lanes and much more from various sequences that familiarize you with the technical needs to be able to perform the steps without leaving aside the dynamics, pulse, accent and compas of the tango. Everything will be raised in the background in a more organic way. It's not just about learning individual steps, and then...what do we do 🧐? It is not the form that should take the leading role, but the way in which you express that form. We will also let your creative and playful side be part of the process, through a tool that I consider very valuable, which is improvisation 👌 since it allows you to find your own style and recognize your strengths and weaknesses to continue growing in your passion for dance. With all these tools, entering the world of more complex sequences and why not, creating your own, will be one more step and not an impossible challenge to achieve.🤩 Don't forget that the steps that are known today and a large part of the sequences emerged from a restless and creative mind, which explored synonymous with IMPROVISE❗️ Let's go through the process together and hold each other in a hug.
