Hello, I offer one-to-one private tuition to university students and adults in Political Science, Essay/Dissertation-writing, Political Economy, Economics, and European Studies. I have 15 years of experience in high-quality private tuition, and I am also a Lecturer in EU Politics at one of the world’s leading universities (University College London). My main areas of specialization are European Union politics and political economy, but I also regularly teach all other areas of Political Science, including Public Policy, Comparative Politics, Introduction to Politics, Populism, Democratisation, and many more. In addition, I teach Economics at a beginner/intermediate level. I can also help with dissertations and essays, at the undergraduate, Master or Ph.D. level. Teaching is an activity that I deeply enjoy, and for which I have great enthusiasm. I was recently nominated for the Award for Outstanding Teaching by the UCL Students' Union. The feedback which I received from students taught in the past was very positive. In particular, I was told that my teaching had inspired students, and had made complex subjects appear simple and interesting. My approach to teaching is results-focused. I first discuss with the student what are his/her objectives (this may be achieving top marks on a final exam, being able to undertake exercises given as homework, or increasing their understanding of certain aspects of a subject). We then devise together a work plan, to ensure that the student meets those goals. This approach has been very successful in the past, as it is not only important to understand a certain subject, but also to be prepared for the particular type of examination or assessment that the student will need to face. I have a Ph.D. in Political Economy from Utrecht University, a master's in European Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges, and a degree in Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE). I teach either in person in London (ideally at UCL), or via email exchanges for written advice. Unfortunately I do not offer online classes.

This essay writing lesson will help strengthen your language but will also show you how to reference sources. I can help with initial planning of the essay, which will include introduction, middle part and conclusion dependent on your chosen essay topic. First step will be to look and discuss your topic question , then make a mind map diagram if all ideas you wish to include . Second step will be to start writing the intro. Linking it to the question you have been given. Thirdly, we will start creating references and researching sources to add in.

Approach to Teaching – I favor a structured approach. I devise lesson plans in advance of every lesson, catering to the student's specific needs. – Academic lessons tend to be structured around specific sections of the syllabus, or particular topics that students require help with. – I employ a seminar-style format. I flesh out ideas with the aid of quotations, other audio-visual resources, and analytical commentary. I structure my lesson plans with a view to providing gaps, in which students are able to ask questions about the content. I am also happy for students to interrupt the flow of the lesson if a burning question arises. – I use Powerpoint to provide students with a variety of resources and visual stimuli. Lesson Structure – Academic lessons tend to be 45 minutes to an hour in length, but I can adapt my teaching schedule to provide students with additional support if needed. – Typically violin lessons range in length from 30 minutes to an hour, but I am flexible: I am more than happy to devise a lesson structure that caters to a student's requirements.
