I give chores after every lesson and make regular progress reports, and I don't want to be forced to eat spinach if I don't like it. My job as a teacher is to make offers and offer the widest possible range of different literature. Especially for children who are still very curious and eager to try things out. If a child is forced to learn a piece that it does not like at all, it will not be forgotten for life. Older students, on the other hand, simply stop practicing when they don't enjoy the pieces.
