Trusted teacher: This class is for all music enthusiasts, whether you’re just getting started and need a solid foundation or already experienced and looking to level up. I'm a DJ and music production instructor with 15 years of experience, and the founder of DJ School Berlin. I also run my own label and organise events. My classes take place in a relaxed, intimate atmosphere, and are fully focused on your needs and goals. I teach both fundamental concepts and creative techniques, while supporting you in the development of your artistic project I also compose music for media (trailers, films, ads, games, etc) and perform live focusing on sound exploration and experimental performance. This means we can absolutely work on different musical genres or more unconventional, creative approaches. Passionate about dancefloor energy, it’s behind the decks and my machines that I feel most alive — and I truly love passing that on. I perform regularly in Berlin in clubs such as Watergate, Sisyphos, Hoppetosse, RSO, Golden Gate, etc., as well as abroad, most recently in Belgrade, London, Amsterdam, Paris, etc. Having worked in an artist management agency (Talent Scoot), I bring an added layer to the sessions — connecting technical skills with artistic vision, and helping you shape and push your artistic project forward ---- Sessions usually last 2 hours, and can take place face-to-face or online, solo or in a group. . Group sessions (1-3) are friendly, less expensive, more dynamic in terms of learning and interesting because you get to observe another student correcting TPs or or discussing techniques, which leads to valuable insights. . In 1-1 if you're more comfortable solo, and for more effective learning focused on you and your pace. I'll give you the keys to : - Get to grips with Ableton Live and set up an efficient workflow - Understand sound structure and audio manipulation - Compose your own tracks and develop your artistic identity - Explore different types of synthesis and sound design - Master the use of effects and audio processing - Structure, arrange, and bring your ideas to life - Learn mixing techniques and how to properly export your projects - If you're already experienced, dive into advanced production techniques to refine your craft I'll also accompany you and advise you on the purchase of your equipment/plugins/tools. Classes take place either in my studio in Kreuzberg, equipped with 2 CDJs, 2 vinyl decks, workstation, synths, drum machines and controllers or online with screen sharing with dynamic practice, TPs and follow up. They are a mix of theory and practice, and we also cover the values and precepts of this art form, giving you lots of pro tips and tricks, as well as creative goodies (VSTs, effects, personal racks) Don't hesitate to contact me for more information, I can send you a detailed document explaining all aspects of the training, the techniques covered, as well as the essential theoretical knowledge. You'll develop a complete understanding of the material, learn how to tell your musical story, create, record, finish, export and share your work. I am looking forward to playing music with you. Trusted teacher: Dear reader, The lesson will be tailored-made depending on your needs and interests. My curiosity and knowledge are versatile and broad. Here is an example of subjects we could touch upon together: - Experimental music composition with an emphasis on electronic music (fixed media composition, live set, multichannel composition), composition mixing instrumental and electronics, algorithmic music - Music programming (SuperCollider) - Experimental music history + specific care of being as inclusive and diverse as possible - Listening sessions - Creating bridges between classical and experimental music - Notation: looking at different scores or ways of writing music than the more traditional ones - Sound synthesis techniques, spectral analysis of sounds and general understanding of timbre - Music theory with a specific emphasis on harmony and so-called rational tuning systems - Basics of recording, mixing, editing, and processing sounds (Live Ableton) - Music research — for instance, if you have to handle written music assignments or carry on specific music research projects - Coaching & methodology to enable you to carry your music project from A to Z - Sharing experiences in the music field and offering guidance and motivational support I am especially interested in working with female and non-binary students who I believe still need extra support in this field but am generally open to all kinds of people, ages and backgrounds! I look forward to hearing from you!

Trusted teacher: I have over 10 years of music composition, production, and performance experience. Having studied at The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (Jazz Guitar) and Leeds Conservatoire (Jazz and Production), I incorporate my education background in jazz and classical music to bring an in-depth perspective on teaching the likes of the guitar, music theory, composition, and production for a range of ages and abilities. I can also provide additional support for students studying GCSE/A-Level Music, as well as delivering unique and personalized lesson plans tailored to musicians’ and artists’ own career goals and aspirations (from recording to music business). I teach in both 1-1 and small group scenarios, both online and face to face. As an actively recording and touring artist and session musician, I have worked with a huge array of different musicians, artists, and producers and have been exposed to a broad range of genres worldwide. I use this knowledge and experience to bring a unique and fresh approach to teaching music in range styles and techniques, from Jazz to Hip-Hop to Classical Music - whether that by analyzing and examining a tune together, learning to improvise over your favorite piece of music, or simply playing for the fun of it. It is important that I grasp an understanding of where my students are at with their instrument or subject before we begin learning together so that I can plan and ensure I approach the lesson in the right way. I provide materials in advance of a lesson, such as worksheet activities or listening references, to allow enhanced learning as well as efficiency during sessions. Most of all, it is important that my students feel relaxed and that they are learning what they love. I make it my challenge to bring something fresh and new to every lesson.

I bought a course as a birthday present and he was super nice and professional, explaining as much as he could about music production. Despite coming late he still gave us the full time we booked for, even producing a first track! Would really recommend him!
