It is basically shorter in length and capable of producing higher pitches. The tone from this type of bamboo flute is brighter and sharper. The other type is called “Qu-Di”. It is longer in length and lower in pitch produced. Opposite to the first type, the tone of Qu-Di is more smooth. The bamboo flute is a transposing instrument, and the tonality of every flute is marked on the side of their bodies. Apart from this I play for multiple artists and have played shows in venues such as Festsaal Kreuzberg, Columbiatheater, Lido, Badehaus, Maschinenhaus, Kantine Am Berghain, Privatclub and many more. So far my son has had just one lesson with Stefan, but he has already demonstrated an excellent demeanor, especially important for working with a child who is just beginning! He is very patient and encouraging thus far. Overall, he is a very good instructor for our situation! Update: My son has taken lessons from Stefan for about a year now and we could not be happier with him as an instructor! He is truly a great teacher for a child who is just getting started and well worth the cost!
