Trusted teacher: I have studied Piano Performance and Musicology at top universities in the UK and graduated with distinction. I have 6 years of teaching experience and an ABRSM Diploma certificate for Piano Performance. I design different lesson-plans for every single student depending on their levels, learning modes, interests, and abilities. You or your child will learn to become a complete musician, with not only performance techniques but also other highly transformative abilities: sightreading skills, aural skills, theory knowledge and above all, good taste in music. My schedule is very flexible. All levels welcome.
Joana - London£52
Trusted teacher: I'm an experienced teacher, with students of different levels/ages. I enjoy the diversity of students and understanding of their different ways of learning and goals and for me, this is the best part of the job - to know an treat each student as a unique person that they are. You'll be encouraged to make music from the very first day. Together with some necessary music theory, always applied to the instrument, you'll learn pieces of gradual difficulty. We make use of progressive tuition methods and you'll learn a solid technique by playing scales, bowing and fingering exercises and easy tunes to begin with. Repertoire includes etudes, playful and challenging concert pieces and from the very beginning duos to play with the teacher.

Trusted teacher: * John studied music at the University of Oxford, which included world-class tutorials in composition and theory across a variety of genres. Having achieved distinction in his LTCL diploma in classical piano and grade 8+ in violin, he has taken numerous exams, for which a solid understanding of musical theory has been essential. * This class is useful for anyone wishing to take ABRSM or other boards' theory exams, or as a supplement for anyone taking GCSE or A Level music. It is recommended, though not essential, to travel to John's house in the case that students do not have a piano or keyboard.

Trusted teacher: I completed a Master’s degree in Music at the University of Oxford, and later a PhD in Music at King’s College London. I have years of experience offering private and group violin lessons. I hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate and have spent some time teaching the violin to children of different age groups in schools across London. I can also provide music theory lessons for those who wish to gain an insight into the language of music and the fundamentals of music making. I teach beginners through to advanced and casual learners through to committed students. I have been trained in a school of violin playing that inherits from and follows the aesthetic standards and technical methods of great masters such as Leopold Auer and Abram Yampolsky. Trusted teacher: Are you serious about learning to play violin? Do you want to learn how to tackle difficult violin pieces? Do you want to learn how to practise efficiently? Do you want to know how to tackle stage nerves and how to plan your time before a performance? Do you need help with fingerings and bowings for a specific piece? Online violin lessons are becoming more and more popular as they offer real convenience for a student who either wants to learn with a specific teacher who might be based in another country, or when attending lessons in person is problematic because of the student's schedule. Dunja , who has 15 years of overall teaching experience, has successfully taught via Skype and Zoom for the past 7 years. Lessons are scheduled based on the most suitable time (whatever the time zone!) for both Dunja and the student.
Jamie - Battersea£41
Trusted teacher: Hi students and music lovers ! Piano is a fun and rewarding way to explore music for people of all ages, whether you've played music before or not, and is one of the most accessible instruments right from the first lesson! I teach with a variety of pop-transcriptions and easy Classical pieces, simple improvisation and harmony exercises, and am comfortable adapting to each pupils own way of learning. If you're new to piano, or have played before and want to rekindle your love of music, get in touch to arrange a first lesson! I will book us a room with a grand piano at the Academy. I graduated Master’s cum laude in Piano Performance at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre studying with prof. Peep Lassmann, who was himself a student of the great Russian pianist Emil Gilels. I have 12 years' private teaching experience, and was employed by Märjamaa Music and Art School as a 1:1 piano teacher in 2018-19. I also have a BMus (Hons) degree from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and DipABRSM, the standard professional teaching qualification in the UK. Reviews from current students: "Jamie is an amazing teacher. I had no knowledge of piano before him and was worried in general of being able to learn. His way of explaining, patience and incredible passion for music gave me the push to try and are reinforcing my motivation to learn more day-by-day. Our classes are alive, fun, and so much like a continuous journey through all the aspects of piano music." - Angelyk "Jamie makes this comfortable atmosphere, you'll never be afraid to make a mistake. I learned a song already in my second/third lesson. 🙂 " - Taimi

Hannah - Harrow on the Hill£46
Trusted teacher: I have studied English Literature and Music, and have played the piano for 14 years. I previously taught pupils to prepare for the ABRSM piano examinations, and have a 100% pass rate. Playing the piano is an expressive and engaging skill to learn. More than anything, the pupil learning should enjoy them self, and find a sense of fulfilment from playing. If you’re looking for exam preparation, just for fun, or anything else in between I would be more than happy to tailor a course to your needs. I also have experience with teaching music to early childhood students. Do get in contact if I sound like a good fit for you.
Hello! My name is Kajsa, and I am a 21 year old vocalist and musician from Sweden. I am currently in my third and final year of University at BIMM London, where I study Popular Music Performance Vocals. I have been singing and taking vocal lessons since I was 7 years old. I have been trained both classically and commercially. I prefer the commercial training because it allows the singer to focus more on the emotion when singing instead of posture and vocal techniques. Ofcourse there is a lot of technique that goes into it which we will focus on aswell, but in todays popular music the listener is looking for an emotion and a voice they can relate to. It can’t be too perfect and classical in the commercial scene today, that removes all the rawness and emotion that the listener is looking for, in my oppinion. I want to offer my potential students a safe place where they can belt their heart out or be vulnerable in their headvoice without judgement. I know I lacked this when i was growing up into this industry, and I would love to give the confidence of not caring too much and to teach how to be brave enough to sing with 100% emotion. Not holding anything in. Singing should be fun, raw and brave. This is what i offer during my lessons. /Kajsa
